I’ve always been scared to cut my hair on my own, usually my sister does it, but I really needed it done and this gave me the confidence to just go for it, I even added in some face framing pieces which I’ve never done but always wanted and I am so happy with the result. i just cut off like, 14 inches of hair to donate and i used this tutorial to fix the blunt cut at home and o m g, so easy to follow, it was so even, and even with some front parts that were uneven, i figured it out, and my hair feels amazing, looks amazing, i am so happy 💥 i don’t think i have to go out to a salon anymore :D money saved 💪💥

This is great. I think you just need to be more precise about the front cut when the other person is doing it for you. You need to be very careful not to make it too short. Hair from the front will be always bit longer to match the layer from the back.

Been cutting my hair more or less this way for a year. I have a lot of hair so also use thinning shears. Works well to add some wave with flatiron or velcro rollers.

I began cutting my own curtain bangs last year, and haven’t went to a salon since. My hair is just about the length of your hair beforehand, but I’m looking to cut my hair shorter than you did. Janice - I kept trying to get the mobile hairdresser, who sent a flyer out, here in France but she never replied after leaving messages with her partner. Perhaps she is frightened of covid - so I resorted to this and glad I did. I used fabric scissors - as lost my hairdressing ones in the house move! Will get some as you suggested. Now looks a lot better!

Thank you! :) I don't have much of a routine, I try to wash my hair as less as possible with a gentle shampoo, a little hair oil and that's it :) I think I got lucky with my hair genetics :)
