Thank you for this video- I will definitely save this to also come back to for notes. I graduated about a year and a half ago majoring in mathematics and minoring in computer science (since my primary interest was data analysis/science) but have been unable to get my foot in the field. I hope 2025 will be the year.

Thank you for the video , one question , what if you dont want to dive deep into data analysts (like on your way to data science ), but you just want to be able to do digital analytics i.e for an ecommerce business.....for example export data from GA4, into Power BI, make i make sense with visuals and get insights, (sorry i skipped the aspect of cleaning and transforming the data)...thanks again for the advice

there are different job roles for data analysis, some focus more on visualization, some more on experimentation, spend time browsing the job description while deciding on a role :)

@@rohanadus thank you very much, so the key is to understand what you want use data analysis for then study what the job description wants ……awesome ….i.e Ecommerce needs a lot of Visualization to get insights so it means you might need to clean the data first before you make connections

It depends on time horizon? I don't agree that will be the case within the next 10/15 years, past that we don't know.

My foundation: I have learnt SQL and Python and apply it in querying data (I am quite good at SQL) but it was nearly 2 years ago, so I'm afraid I may forget some. My plan 2025 would be: - Enrolling course: Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst and Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals to prepare for the exam PL300 and DP900 - I would learn SQL again and try to earn some HackerRank certificates. - oh, i also want to learn some knowledge related to statistics, data,... (may be Google Advanced Data Analyst, i'm not sure) Is this enough for me to apply data analyst job ?

Can u clear one thing, im currently working as windows application developer using VB NET and MS SQL for long years with this old tech. I need a career transition demanding fields, so i have planned to move towards to Data engineering with Cloud. And recently i got my interest towards AI, some says without ML can pursue Gen AI, Agentic AI jobs.. What’s ur view on that? someone like me which is better career transition??

If you’re leaning toward AI, you don’t necessarily need ML to get into Gen AI or Agentic AI roles, but having a basic understanding of ML concepts would give you an edge
