I'm seeing him sometimes having alternating grips, sometimes both grip on same side, sometimes one is under/other is over. When to use specific grip? I've never deadlifted before with both my hands gripping the bar the same side, I always have alternating. Not sure if it matters but i been thinking about keeping them on the same side simply because when i have music pumping and im ready to lift i don't want to be in my head thinking about which way i need to grip the bar and how to position my straps.

I got a bulging disc at 17 from doing this. Be warned guys if you are a natural straight back dead lifter like I was do not attempt this form if it does not feel natural and you have to force it because it will not add to your numbers. If you do want to attempt it start with extremely light weight way below your working weight.

Use pause work to get your hips to move weight in timely fashion with everything else. It’s a mixture of motor control (technique & timing), and staying in position (losing tightness).

Hey Justin, as a lifter with 1.5 years of experience, what splits whould you recommend for power building / power lifting
@Rooobert0101
@Rooobert0101 2 жыл бұрын
he has a video up for the power building split he follows I think, but for powerlifting thinking of a set split isn't the best idea since what you should be thinking about is deadlift, bench and squat and their accessories that will increase your strenght, for example two squat days, two/one deadlift day and two to four bench sessions a week is what a lot of powerlifters do

to make for the most efficient bar path possible, if your hips rise too early that should be an issue related to the tightness of your back, think of pushing the weight with your quads as Justin said as well as think of ripping the bar towards you to activate the lats and keep the barbell as close to your legs throughout the movement as possible
