Amber, this was a great video!! I recently trimmed my hair and began doing the same process you do once per week. I saturate my hair in water and a conditioner with tons of slip; I sleep overnight just so that my hair gets more moisture. I’m also VERY happy that you showed you shed hair after 7 days because I was thinking that my shed hair was too much. I have half the hairball you had but my hair is also about half the length of yours after my recent trim. Thanks for showing that it’s normal! This gave me life!!!! ❤️

Just went through this yesterday. The left side of my head cooperated, the right side fought me with everything it had no matter how much water or conditioner I used. My hair shed like crazy. Granted, I hadn’t washed it in 3 weeks from a protective style, but it still seemed like a lot to me. My hair seems to be able to handle 2 weeks between washes with no issues but if I try to push it to week 3, my hair is not happy and lets me know by every hair wrapping itself around at least 3 of its neighbors and clumping as much as possible. And yet, I keep pushing to 3 weeks. When will I learn?

deeblaq+ That’s actually what I used and it worked on the right side, but not the left. I added conditioner and let it sit and it still didn’t work. I deep conditioned, nothing. So I added even MORE conditioner and finger detangled and it finally released the knots. My hair is past hip length, so finger detangling is not an option for me but in the areas I just couldn’t get through with a comb or detangling brush, I had no choice but to use my God-given tools.

i have like 3 matts in the back of my hair, underneath. (the hair closest to your neck) it gets matted really easily because when I brush my hair, I don’t always get all the way under it so the hair kinda just festers? if you know what I mean 😂 anyways I’m gonna go try this now!
