Manic Panic doesn't really seem to last very long. Maybe 2 weeks if you are lucky. I found that Splat seems to hold the color a lot longer.

splat damages your hair alot and manic panic is semi permanent thats the point plus its also vegan manic panic on average lasts 1-2 months

I've just used Splat for the longest time and honestly my only issues with Splat is how minimum the selections of color there are. From what I've noticed of Manic Panic there are way more colors to choose from.

Question how do u keep hair color from getting on clothes and neck. If I wear hair down all day by end of day my neck is all blue and my collar as well. Let's not even mention how bad it is when I sweat. I love using random colors and I've always turned to manic panic cause of such vibrant color's. I jst wish I didn't have to check my neck all day to see if colors are staining. By the way u rock ! Keep smiling!

Do you wash it out properly when you dye it? If you scratch your head and the colour gets in your nails or you have it on your clothes, you've not watched it properly. Do it until ALL the water runs clear.

Try Directions instead. It's literally the equivalent to Manic, but it's cheaper and lasts longer. I've never used Manic but I've had friends who do and they all prefer directions. Give it a try, I recommend Atlantic Blue.

I've been dying my hair crazy colors for about 4 years and I still have a full head of hair! It's a really fun way to change your look so go for it just be careful and do your research first! :) (Oh and Manic Panic is a creme dye.. it takes about 2 weeks in my hair to wash out depending on how much you wash it.. some peoples last over a month) and you can get it from Sally's Beauty Supply if they have those there or you can get it online.

It will not damage your hair as long as you take care of it. Taking care of dyed hair can be complicated. If you want a color that won't fade gross and lasts long I suggest using either Beyond The Zone or N'Rage. If you're looking for lasting color DO NOT USE MANIC PANIC. To bleach your hair I suggest Kaliedocolors with a 30 developer for about 45minutes depending on how dark your hair is. (ignore what the box says it's always wrong) Remember dyes and bleaches can be harsh on hair so don't leave them on too long! Vegan dyes(N'Rage) and stains (Beyond The Zone) you can leave on overnight without damage,it's only chemical dyes like Splat and L'Oreal you have to worry about. If you bleach your hair and it's brassy and yellow buy a purple shampoo toner and THEN dye. All these products can be bought at Sally's for under $10. I know that's a lot, I'm sorry for the long rambling. I've been dying hair for 4 years, (I'm a cosmetology student) and thought I'd give some insight to avoid hair disasters! (Btw be prepared for dye to get everywhere! Take precautions!)

Grimm Feli Well manic panic only stayed in my hair for about a week. When I dye my younger sisters hair we use Beyond The Zone because it will last 2+ months and the fade usually isn't too bad. Great for the summer!How long it lasts almost depends on what color you go for. Pinks and Reds last longer and fade to a light(baby) pink. And blues fade to a lighter baby blue instead of gray like most dyes but don't last as long. The only Beyond The Zone color I wouldn't recommend is Purple because it's kinda of a muddy purple, I'd use N'Rage Purple with some conditioner because of the high pigment. I hope this helps! c:

Great hair!! I was just wondering if you wash your hair a different way (more carefully) when you do an ombre of colours like this so the colours on top don't bleed into the ones on the ends. I did my hair all N Rage Teal, and then did the underside and ends Ion Magenta........ looked so beautiful until I washed it in the shower. The teal completely ran into the magenta and turned it into a faded purple =( Major disappointment. So next I plan on doing blue on top, orange on bottom and definitely don't want the same thing happening. How would you suggest going about rinsing it? I thought, wash the orange ends first, towel dry, wrap it in a bag, then wash the blue very carefully... OR do just blue, rinse it, dry it, apply orange, then rinse/dry (but wondered if the blue would bleed into my blonde and stain during the rinsing process -.-). What would you suggest? =)
