How I Do a DRY Wash n' Go on STRETCHED Hair!

Disclaimer: This method may not work for everyone. I do not do this often. I used a leave in the night before. I sprayed water on sections that needed it :)

I never used gel in my 4b hair... although I admire the wash and go look/style on women. However after watching this video and being inspired I went out and purchased eco styler gel... I am totally using the method that you have showed... and I am loving the results! Of course I have shrinkage due to the kinky texture/pattern of my hair... but you are so right about the eco styler gel... my curls & kinks are popping... I am in shocked!

Some people say that because gels are known to be drying to the hair which is why we have to use a moisturizer or leave-in conditioner (not too thick and not too much though) on our hair before we put the gel in. You also want to choose a gel that has no alcohol. Even then, some people's hair just won't do well with gel while others have no issues. You'll just have to try it and see but it is true that gels and gel type products seem to be the best for wash-n-go styles. I use gel every day with no problem (and my hair is passed by shoulders) but everyone's hair is different.

I've been doing this with homemade flaxseed gel (Naptural85's recipe) and it works great!! You can also stretch your hair using the banding method. Works every time!

OMG!!!! Girl I can't thank you enough for showing me this technique. Girlllllll I finally have KZbin hair!!!😂😂😂 you know what I'm talking about.....when you get on youtube and it seems that everybody's hair and curls are popping and moisturized. I used xtreme wetline gel and a lil hair grease....yes grease cauaw oils and my hair don't like each other. I didn't have a crunch at all. I'm 4 days in and my hair is still on point. I let it dry over night and didn't take the usual 2 days. Anyway I am feeling myself and my curls have given me "new life" the bounce and shine I have is AMAZING!!! I won't do a regular wash n go anymore. 😍😍🙌🙌🙌 Thank you girl!! P.s. I have no frizz and my hair hasn't dries out from this Extreme heat in hot GA!!

oh yes. you definitely want to layer it. my hair was already moisturized before drying. It lasted a week for me and was shiny, defined and frizz free the entire time

I did this last night, and loving the results. I only used a little bit of water for my back sections, and hardly any water on the front sections. Dry time was so quick compared to doing the standard wash n go. I'll be doing this from now on as the weather is getting colder.

I just slap some conditioner & finger detangle it by section on dry hair. Yep no water. The Trader Joe's Nourish Spa conditioner is awesome for this technique...well if u dont mind the silicone (which I don't). Plus there's a light hold so no gel needed

See this is what I'm talking about right here!!! This is the only way I can get a stretched wash and go I have to do it on Dry hair. That's pretty much the way I've been doing it forever. My hair just shrinks up to absolutely Nothing when I wash it. It takes a week to stretch out (prob 3 -4 days I'm exaggerating) but anyway I'm subscribing girl!!!!!!! Love love your videos.

Aloe Vera gel is a great hair jell. It's very moisturizing it's used to treat sun burn. So it will moisturizer the hair
