Great stuff my man. Not trying to be cheap, but what do you recommend if you can't afford semrush or ahrefs?

Google Sheets. This is how I got started. I would list the keywords that I wanted to track, and then once a week I would open an incognito tab and track where I was ranking. In addition, you can still get a good understanding of competition simply by googling the keyword you want to rank for and checking out the first 3. You can also check the domain authority of the competing websites by using the moz authority score here - moz.com/domain-analysis. And you can check out how much search volume a keyword has by using trends.google.com. It's not as hard as it seems. The trick is to go one keyword and one article at a time. Eat the elephant one bite at a time.

I recommend Ubersuggest for keyword research, and Neuron Writer for text optimization
