Happy new year! First video of 2022 is a “how I draw” :) I know many of u have been asking to see more if these types of vids. It’s just that I was going through a stage were I wasn’t liking my art much and I felt uncomfortable attempting to “teach”. Ngl I look back at some of my past videos and cringe a little ahhh. I might update them one day…

ngl, it is hard to find but for the kids just please say dark instead of black because it’s kinda like racial discrimination at the point but it’s just a suggestion. For the young kids-

this might sound a bit problematic but it’s very refreshing seeing you draw so many black people, you don’t ever really see darker skinned people being represented often within media, like if a different artist were to do this; they would’ve immediately drawn a pair of white lips, it’s not a bad thing of course, but you never realize how excluding it feels until you see someone draw black people as the majority that we are. i don’t know if i worded this correctly LOL but i hope i got my point across. your art is absolutely gorgeous and i adore the way you color, and if you don’t mind me asking, where is your accent from? it’s very pretty

Same,but a different reason. I would search how to shade black skink/dark skin, but only few that weren't my style popped up. I would only see white skin, like I should know how to draw myself

@@AllBrightColors I meant yeah but personally I got into art making fanart. And I still draw mainly fanart. Most of my original characters are POC, but I don’t draw them as much as my favourite characters from my favourite games and stuff, so when most of the characters in media are white, odds of most of my favourite characters being white skyrockets. As of right now my two fave characters (to draw) ever are a a black woman and an Indian woman but the black woman character didn’t exist when I was starting out.

I’m half Filipino and I’ve always had big lips, I felt really really ashamed of them growing up and so whenever I drew myself I never would draw my lips super big. I’m starting to get more comfortable with my body and honestly this tutorial is really heartwarming so thank you💗💓

depending where you live,people use botox TO GET your lips. big lips are very trendy in some countries and even desired! the difference is, the botox lips look weird and bulky, you have natural ones which is always more gorgeous. don't be ashamed,there's lots of people out there who'd LOVE to have what you were naturally given! (for example,think of all the people that draw over their top lip just to mimick it being bigger)

I've learnt a lot from this video. I'm having problems on how I should paint darker skinned characters with a set of tones and this is it! Some little advice. The white captions lands on the white service on the iPad and I can't read the rest of the words. Probably use the dark pink colour like you used on your social links? all and all, great tutorial

As a white person, I personally found this very helpful! I’d love to learn how to draw black people often. Though, since I’m a cartoonist who doesn’t use outlines very often anymore, it’ll be a hard journey to “master” black lips; but I’ll try! :)

Listen to me don’t stop please you’re such an inspiration! I have been drawing for the longest and never knew all I needed was an iPad and an Apple Pencil to make it a little easier for me!
