The way I GASPED when you drew that first straight line. I have been enlightened.

I'm just studying the head and most artists suggest the Loomis method, which is fine, but I was looking for something with fewer lines, that can be drawn faster and in smaller sizes. This video came just in time, thanks
@emiliodekureart2 ай бұрын
The Loomis method certainly is ubiquitous with drawing the head, almost like an artist rite of passage. 😂 But, yeah, personally, I felt there were simpler and faster ways to achieve the same result.
@Primo_StudiosАй бұрын
Well generally you use these lines to start developing your vision in mapping out the head, the more you get used to it the less lines you'll start drawing cause you'll start envisioning the map of the face without drawing the lines. Your pixel art is dope btw
@dabs912 ай бұрын
This absolutely makes sense., my Brain just cant think in 3d, but drawing 2 line to establish the corner definitely helps
@Primo_StudiosАй бұрын
Just learn perspective points. It's the easiest way to develop 3D vision, all you need is a ruler or straight edge to start making cubes.

You saved me man. Ive been studying for a long time. I struggled with finding the right method. Nothing clicked. And then i found your video. It even fits the artstyle im going for i just need to modify it a bit! Thanks a lot.

I watch a LOT of head tutorials and I think this is the best I’ve seen so far. I’m also reading Loomis in my personal studies, but it is a SLOG compared to this. Great work, and keep it coming.

Another great video where something as complex as the face/head has been simplified! I'm glad i found this as I've been drawing using the shape of the head recently rather than the entire Loomis method yet some things confused me, this has cleared that up! Now to practice!

Roughly around 4:00: reminds me about those wooden manequins and how there heads are shaped. Makes much more sense now. Besides: those lil guys are pretty useless for poses. But i have allways one around as proportion and simplification reminder :)
