Okay just a forwarning! .. 10 is the lowest developer.. 30 would be for lightening your hair... You said this opposite in the video
@littlemisskimmycat78
@littlemisskimmycat78 8 жыл бұрын
Out of the developers, the 1.5% (5 vol) is the weakest and is a semi permanent developer. 10 vol is weaker than 20 vol and 30 vol is stronger. 40 vol is the strongest. 30 and 40 vol developers are used for bleaching so you want to stay away from these. For standard permanent colouring to cover greys, you want to stick to a 20 vol for most colours. 10 vol if you are dying your hair darkest brown or black.

@kimberly wood can I use a permanent color with 1,5% developer? will this then make it semi-permanent or will it just take longer for the color to develop? I ask this because I've already bought a permanent color, I only need to deposit color, don't need to lift and I want to do minimum damage to my hair. Also, is it possible to dilute a dark brown (level 4) with extra developer? I'm afraid it's going to be slightly to dark on my level 7 - 8 sandy blonde. Hope that you'll have a moment to respond 😄

a 5 volume will still deposit color permanently but it will open the cuticle less so on less porous hair the color might not take. You can use a 10 volume to go darker with good results without any gray hairs. For grays, you want 20 volume as gray hair is resistant to color. A level 4 on a natural level 7-8 will develop very fast and can turn black. I would recommend using 5 or 6 or a combination of the two in equal parts depending on how dark you want to get :-)

@nadia zaki oh my god, this is very late. in igora color line, you could blue extract that would washed your orange. but it would look very dark. or you might want to put the cendre extract or violet extract. they would make your orange look more natural

20 volume is the best for covering gray with the same color as your natural color. It opens the cuticle more to allow for more color molecules to deposit into the hair shaft. Looks very nice :-)

I have a classmate who started having grey hairs at 9 years old. My aunt started turning grey at 15, my mother at 20. On the other side, my grandmother had perfectly natural black hair when she died at 80 years old.

Lina, I had grey hair when I was 8-9 years old. Lots of horrific stress due to immigrating to a new country and having to learn a new culture and different language. Long story short found out that I have Celiac Disease in my 20's and had to go completely gluten-free. I had grey hair in my 20's also had to dye my hair all the time. I had a lot of health problems in my 20's also along with that. I fixed my gut/stomach issues, fixed my health issues, and the grey hair has reversed over the decades. I'm in my 40's with very little gray hair, about 5-10% if even that. I still dye it because it annoys me to even see 2-3 gray hairs but I also like to change hair colors with seasons. I do believe genetics does play a role in this but not 100%. Take a look at your overall health. Get a blood profile to see if you are missing anything in your nutrition or if there is an underlying issue with your body.

Girl, I feel you on being young and already having to deal with having gray hair. I'm soon to be 26 and every few weeks have to do root touch ups and all of that fun stuff because of my grays peaking back through in my regrowth! I don't typically dye my whole head, except every few months when the color fades and all of it needs to be retouched. That way it keeps my hair a bit healthier. Lol. But it can be frustrating, to say the least. I also blame mine on genetics. My dad started going gray at an early age... and who knows if my mom did or not because she's been dying her hair since I was born! LOL. This was a nice video to see because of having that in common. But you are very beautiful and your hair is beautiful and a lovely color! :)

Hey girl just so you know for future reference 10 volume doesn’t lift at all it’s just for depositing 20 volume Lifts one level 30 volume lifts two levels and 40 volume lifts three or more levels. 10 or 20 volume is the best for your hair also if you want to cover more grays use the color 5NN nn colors Cover the most gray. Also permanent color should only be used on the roots for new growth virgin hair and Demi permanent color should be used on the ends to refresh the existing color. If you use permanent color on already dyed hair you’ll find that it fades a lot quicker into those warm colors u don’t like. Ur hair looks beautiful tho!
@wolfgirl9397
@wolfgirl9397 8 жыл бұрын
Great video! Just a heads up with the developers the higher the number the stronger the developer, if your staying with dark colours don't use any higher then a 20 volume douse its not need and will damage your hair more. Also the more colours you dye your hair the outcome will be different, so when you used the 4 and put the 5 over top changed the colour of the 5. So when you did your roots (virgin hair) the colour comes out the true 5.

10 vol. is for deposit only. is recomended to use 20 vol like standard vol for most of hair dyes because it shows a beautiful color when oxidise the formula on u hair if u use 10 will look a little bet more dark do not lift to much beacuse only deposit the color dye, if u use 30 vol will lock ligther lifts more migth not coverage gray hair on 30 vol not recomended to use unles u are a proffesional hair dreser u will know where and when use 30-40-50vol..the higher the vol more damage it is for u hair again unles u know whow to work with developers..but 20is recomended for most hair dyes...

The higher the number of developer the stronger it is! So a 20 is weaker than a 30

10 volume is the weakest developer, 40 volume is the strongest. Look at the percentage of the peroxide on the bottle. 10 vol is 3%, 20 vol is 6%, 30 vol is 9% and 40 vol is 12%. 40 vol is only used for hi-lift colours and bleaching dark hair that isn't on the roots. You should never use 40 vol developer at home. Leave that to the professionals. 30 vol is used for bleaching and 20 vol is the standard developer for use with permanent colour and covering greys. 10 vol is used for colouring hair with no grey, basically depositing colour onto the hair.

Could you help me? I have very light blonde bleached hair (some bits are white blonde) but I want to go back to my natural dark brown. I am going to use a copper filler semi permanent colour first but then Should I use a 10 developer with permanent colour to deposit the dark brown or a 20 vol? I’m not sure to use 20 as my hair is already very light underneath and I don’t want to damage it? thanks so much if you can help me!
