I did not see this coming when I rode into Skagway, Alaska! What a quirky little town, with lots of gold rush history. Turns out, no visit to Skagway is complete without visiting the famous Red Onion Saloon...

What a contrast between the floating cities / cruise ships crammed with thousands of tourists and a lone, world-travelling-motorcyclist showing us the world that such tours will never see... Thanks for this great peak into Skagway.

You can actually take that ferry all the way down to Bellingham Washington. I highly recommend it. You don't even need a car It's kind of like you're camping on the ferry next to these huge cruise ships. But it stops in all the small fishing towns where the cruise ships do.

I also find myself regretting that Noraly’s amazing journey is coming to an end. It has been such a wonderful time sharing her South to North adventure and enjoying so much that I hoped it would never end. Of I appreciate how much work and energy is required to produce these videos and I would say she has certainly earned a vacation and time away from KZbin. Noraly is an amazing person and an inspiration. Whatever the next adventure is, I will be here to support. Cheers to Noraly and safe riding. Dan ✌️🏍🇨🇦

Skagway is a very windy [and cold] town, with not much to do there if you're not a tourist or a drinker. You should stay at the Hallsingland Hotel in Haines [Port Chillkoot actually]. The owners used to be good friends of mine and I even worked there as a bus boy years ago. I had a guy try to give me a dime after hauling 2 heavy bags to the third floor. I was expecting at least a quarter for each bag. So I refused it and told him he obviously needed it more than I did. I was just working for room and board from the Hotel. The only cash I got was from tips.

1992 I sailed a 30 ft boat from Valdez to Skagway where I was broke down for two weeks, on our way to Seattle. Even back then it was a tourist town but there was room for only a couple cruise ships at a time. After the gold rush Skagway became almost a ghost town until they began to develop the tourist industry. This video brings back a lot of memories. As usual the weather there is always fair to partly crappy.

Never commented before but can't resist it : All the superlatives that have been given to Noraly are totally, utterly well deserved - filming, content music all terrific. I haven't notice any other comments on her diction - as a half deaf old Brit bloke, who normally uses subtitles, I don't need them when watching her channel - as she would say, "stunning yeah". She's tempting to get on my ridiculously underused CBF 500. Can't wait for the next series.
