I love how quickly you've summed up both characters, how differently each behave. The brotherly bond and banter. I watched the show for the story and spooky goings on, so it took a while for me to 'register' the dynamics of the brothers and how it impacts their relationship and the quest that they are on.

The first season is just the beginning for the lore of supernatural creatures so further down the line 1 or 2 things might change but overall the lore for a specific creature stays the same and in this case with the Woman in White, she did kill her kids. the whole reason you become a WiW is by your husband being unfaithful and then you kill your kids and commit suicide so now your soul is cursed.

God, I remember stumbling upon this in 2008. The memories, the viewing parties, the life lessons, and watching the brothers go through what they do - this is an extended family. Get ready for one hell of a ride. My favorite show of ALL time. Nothing comes close.

Oh the nostalgia! The first episode of this show is fantastic, and I love the first season. Tbh, I loved this show intensely from seasons 1-5, then I hated season 6 and dropped it. But you're braver than I am cause if I was to start this show today and saw how many seasons there are, I would... not. But I love that your only insight going into this was "it has that one actor from that one show" cause girl, you're in for a RIDE.

Rewatching I have to say s7 (let's pretend some parts of 14 and 15 don't exist xD) might be the worst. S6 at the rewatch is way better actually but definitely down low compared to others

*Season 1-5 are the best and s1-5 was the original ending.* I would recommend at least reacting to the first 5 seasons. The other 10 seasons are great too. P.s. “dexter” is another great show; the character development and subtle comedy is great.

It opens with CCR, I loved the Amara story line and with it the reminder that the writers were not pimping one flavor of religion.. We get to watch Crowley try to be a dad/uncle,.. and see what his fear looks like. Baby...werepire.. In the lore it's called a whisper..Jensen got to do that reverse 180. We get to see spn's SFX of a banshee, my favorite 80s scream queen guest stars (Dee Wallace/Mildred Baker) We meet Billie - singing! Dean rides Larry.. The huge Chuck reveal and.. Dean wins a round of Rock Paper Scissors. I could go on..

La Llorna is the name of the Woman in White in Latin American culture (yes, there was a movie of the same name about this same ghost story - check it out). The thing about this show is, they never made up any of the supernatural creatures; they all come from some culture's mythology and folklore.

Great reaction. Hope you stick with it. Like any long running tv series, you won’t necessarily love every episode but the genius is in how well they can change the tone. I mean....there's a reason it was on for 15 seasons. It's so good. Season 6 and 7 dipped a bit, but it picked back up after that. Plus I'd love to see you get to some of the meta episodes where they make fun of themselves. Best episodes ever!

A former roommate got me hooked to this show back in 2008, when Netflix was still delivered on CDs. The show is a great mix of any and all mythologies: Babylonian, Sumerian, Hindu, Judeo-Christian, Pagan, Asian, African etc., and lore of ghosts, wendigos, djinns, werewolves, and so on. Pretty much everything spooky or that goes bump in the night.
