on the lead up to buying our house, i have made it abundantly clear that in the first year(s) we are going for practical, over aesthetically pleasing - don't get me wrong, i want things to be and look nice, but function over form will be the primary driver - i know my space will get better over time 💛 keep going, my guy ✌️

“It all came down to making the best out of what I had”, you have no idea how much I needed to hear this. I know you were talking about your gear / space, but I’m currently being really critical of a film I’m editing (that I also wrote and directed)… ultimately I know I did the best with the time / experience I had. Acceptance is key.

I relate to this. I only do voice overs and don't show my face because I have an "ugly" set up. There are two desks: one is on a room that I share with my boyfriend, and the other is on our dining room (where I record my voice). I also don't film because I don't have a camera, but I guess my webcam should be enough. Might try to record myself and see if I like it or not...
