How I FINALLY Caught a GALARIAN BIRD…

The adventure incense ws introduced with the Galarian versions of Moltres, Zapdos and Articuno BUT these pokemon are the rarest spawns and the hardest to catch. Some say there is a glitch to catch but most wonder how to catch galarian birds in pokemon go. Let’s check my catch out!

I've managed to get 1 of each. First was Zapdos on 10/19 (5/11/4, cp 2072), then Moltres on 11/7 (12/9/8, cp 2515), and then Articuno on 2/6 (8/15/5, cp 2342). I've considered lucky trading them, but they're just so rare that I have to take pride in the ones that I've caught. Haven't actually used them or powered them up though. Used the ball trick on each of them, throwing away 13-15 balls each time, but I'll never know if that actually worked or not with all them times that's failed. None of them were crit captures. Good about using the incense everyday and trying to get the most out of it. Have taken photos of nearly every total and each bird encounter. Average probably low to mid 20s with a best of 28 (3 times, and 9 27s).

1) Definitely wish I could travel to Japan one of these days. 2) All the banners in Shibuya for Stray Kids' "The Sound" that were in the background when you were just walking around just made me really happy. ^^; 3) It was definitely absolute and pure luck for catching the Galarian Zapdos. I just kinda gave up on the adventure incense. I'll use it occasionally. I might use mine today when I go walking around later. But the low catch rate of the Galarian Birds coupled with the basic spawns just make using it a drag. I've run into 3 Articunos and all ran. And they show up so sparingly that I can't really justify using it. I don't want the game to feel like it's a chore I need to complete so I just ignore it. I'm sure there's gonna be another way to get the Galarian Birds eventually. Maybe when they come out shiny it'll be worth it to hunt them.

I agree, they either need to raise the encounter rate or the catch rate. To have both so low removed the motivation for me. If I’m walking anyway I’ll use the incense but I don’t make an effort to take a walk just for that purpose anymore.

I got a Moltress on my first galarian bird encounter. I had no idea they were hard to catch/rare at the time so just threw a couple ultra balls and got it. Every single one since has fled after one ball

Epic Critcal Catch. The only Galarian Bird I have is a Level 1 Galarian Articuno, which is my team bird as well. 😁 I would mirror trade it when you have a chance. Galarian Zapdos & Galarian Articuno will be meta relevant for raids, while Galarian Moltres will be meta relevant for PVP. Love your videos. 👍🏻

During the Hoenn tour event, apparently Latios had similar catch rates. I encountered a shiny so it wouldn’t run, but it took 20 balls with golden raspberries and expert handler to finally catch the thing.

I caught a Galarian Zappos, and lucky traded so I have Galarian Moltres. I am not sure that was a good idea though. I think that Zappos is the best Galarian bird. They almost always run. Even though I get out and walk every day, it has been so cold here that I often don’t bother with the incense because my fingers are too cold to touch my phone. Especially when it’s also wet or snowing.

I gave up after seeing 15 birds and not catching a single one. That was 3 months ago. After 3 months today I was doing the daily insense and caught a Galarian Moltres!!! Not even a nice throw. So lucky, so happy to finally have one!!!

When I started Pokemon Go at the end of July last year, The first Galarian bird that came up was a Zapdos, coming up my driveway with my friend (who was driving, not me), it startled me and I tried but missed. I walk a 1/2 mile running track in our little town, and the 2nd was a SHINY Articuno ! Still missed. So after that I take a picture of the G Bird when they show up then try to catch them. I've had a couple encounters with Moltres too. But it seems they only show up 1 time near the beginning of the month. I've tried that multi miss ultra ball trick too but it failed. One of these days you shall be mine !

I've seen all 3 Galarian birds, Galarian Moltres and Galarian Articuno multiple times and Galarian Zapdos once. As for which one is my favorite I don't have just 1, my favorite Galarian Birds are Galarian Moltres and Galarian Articuno by the way my team is team Mystic. But it's ok to like the other Galarian legendary birds. I actually like the designs of both Galarian Moltres and Galarian Articuno. Galarian Zapdos is ok but the other 2 are really cool

Firstly Congrats! Not easy to catch any of them. And secondly, *chuckling* I too caught my team's mascot. (Valor)😅In total I've seen Moltres twice (caught it on the second sighting 😁), Zapdos twice, and Articuno 5 times!!! (Sigh! The angry bluebird like torturing me! LOL!😅🤣) I caught my beautiful bird with a great curveball, gold razz, ultra ball. Honestly I'd kinda given up ever catching any of them, after having Articuno appeared and ran so many times... Needless to say I may or may not have yelled, danced and possibly laid a Moltres sized egg when I caught it. 😅😅😅 Was only cp760, and a 1*. But honestly I could care less about that. I was just soooo happy I caught one!!! Having never even gotten any of the legendary birds. And needing all for my dex, I was thrilled to finally have gotten one, and come one step closer to filling out my dex. I hope to one day get the others. But for now I'm happy. 😊 Catching Hope'sFortune (lol my bird's name) was the icing on the cake that day. It was a very strange, surreal, luck filled day!!! I raise chickens for the eggs which I sell. And well long story made short, I had gotten a VERY large egg from one of my hens a few days prior. Which I had jokingly said to a friend "watch, this thing's going to be a triple yolker." (note this hen was known to lay doubles consistently, so it wasn't unheard of for her to lay them.) Well that morning I had cracked that HUGE egg open, and well... You can guess what happened. Yes!!! It really was a triple!! I've only ever got one other triple in my life (from a goose) That was just the beginning of my day. In a nutshell I saw a huge flock of 20+ bluebirds... (haven't seen a bluebird since I was 7. I'm now nearly 40) Had a Bald Eagle fly over my house (never seen one EVER in my area, let alone that close) and within days of all this happening my buisness took off!!! I went from 3-5 customers to over 30! Soooo yeah... LOL! *Hope* has become my unofficial good luck charm and kinda my Poke'mascot for my buisness. 😆 My actual buisness logo is a Raven with a red mohawk. So it was just too fitting!!! 😅😆🤣🤣🤣 Sorry that kinda got long winded.. but I just had to share the crazy and cool overall experience of that day. 😅😊☮❤😁

This has been honestly one of the most frustrating aspect of the game for me personally since these birds have been released.. ive had spawns for each of the 3 birds multiple times, altho on a draught rn with them spawning at all.. every single of the approximate 15-ish encounters have been golden razzed great/excellent throws amd they all single roll bounce out and flee.. nothing has been killin my vibe more than that lol. Such a bummer.. cant even get a single one to lucky swap..

Do you think they will put galarian birds in raids at some point if so when do you think and do you think it will be in elite raids. And if not do you think they will have them spawn in the wild as part of the elite raids after you defeat them I think that would be a great incentive to get people outside.

I got a Moltres a few weeks ago. Only caught it cuz it was only 300CP, no way a stronger one would have been. I just assume ill never find them, and at a 0.2% base catch rate thinking I'll catch one with one throw is even sillier. Keep them for lucky mirror trades cuz thats the only hope of a useful one.

They'll be in raids eventually, and will be easy to lucky swap then. The one I have (Zapdos) I best buddied and powered it up to Ultra League. To me, the memory of catching it and having it in a non-premiere ball is worth holding onto it.

I caught a Galarian Zapdos back in August 2022 on my 2nd Ultra Ball and it has a high CP too at 2932! I thought it was so cool catching one knowing its flee rate and catch rate. I hope they keep these birds rare honestly because it makes them more special and memorable, unlike the 20-30 shinies you catch during community days for example.

critical capture is random chance so he got very lucky. some ppl say throwing 20-30 pokeballs and then queuing up the golden razz and ultra works. like how raid pokemon catch rates increase the more balls you use.
