You say going out too slow was a mistake. You literally did what 99% of marathoners wish they could do which is negative split. You paced that really maturely and hit your goal. Well done mate 💪

Haha, wow this is the best marathon story I've ever seen. So good. So many emotions.

Congrats man I watched your football video, and it inspired me to go back and not to give up and try to go play college ball. Keep up the good work! Tip, You can’t throw deep pass after deep pass even with perfect form. Its nearly impossible. But great job!

That’s amazing to hear. Don’t give up brother.

Nic work! I ran my first marathon last year. I set the bar much lower than you! My goal was to finish without dying. I finished in 6 hours 😂. I didn't run much this year due to kiddo's health and other major life stuff. I do want to get back into it and you have helped spark some motivation! Thanks!

Awesome man! You should definitely get back into it. It's nice having something to work toward.

@@JakeFerrin I'm going to put my training plan together tonight! By the way, it was the Top of Utah Marathon that I ran. It was a really nice course.

That is very impressive with 12 weeks proper training, congrats my dude. How broken were you the following few days 😂

So wrecked hahah. My feet and knees felt weird for a couple weeks honestly.

IMO, sub-3 is not very doable for someone new to running. Could be a matter of what you define as "new" though, which by your definition sounds like someone who didn't grow up running (hs or college runners). The influencers you've mentioned most likely have been running for at least 2-3 years consistently to hit a sub-3 marathon. Just wanted to temper expectations there for some folks. Regardless, great video and looking out for more!

Yeah I was thinking someone that is young, fit and athletic and played sports in college/HS could start training for a marathon and hit sub 3 if they trained hard. I trained for 12 weeks and got 3:28 and there is a lot I could have done better. Thanks for the comment and the support! More videos coming soon
