Thank you! I'm new to leather crafting and edges have been difficult. Some people chase that perfect glass look. Maybe that's too much. Just do a good, solid job with time and attention. Thanks again.

I love your video. I likewise am not a professional but I am a professional wood finisher and I've been finishing my edges with my hot knife in which I melt hard wax on the edge with the hot knife and then burnish the edge. I use a curved knife and an alcohol burner to heat the knife. I've used this method to repair scratches and dents on wooden table finishes.

Thanks a lot I have a belt to make tomorrow for a man’s son thanks for taking the time out for me. And I heard in one of your videos that you’re no professional. Man you are a professional your stuff is the best stuff I’ve ever seen. I’m on KZbin always trying to learn something because I’m real dumb I mean real dumb. And I’ve seen a lot of leather work and yours is at the very top of the list. Man you are a professional I’m telling you’re if I could do what you do I would be rich. I bet people are knocking your door down to buy your stuff. I have a hard time understanding a pattern I normally buy those acrylic patterns purses and wallets i’m really happy with This purse pattern I got I made 7 looks like a saddle bag type. Haven’t sold one yet I made biker wallets to I’ve sold a few of them. Sorry to keep rambling I’m 57 years old live upstate New York have no friends at all. I’m from the south Calvert county Maryland I sure do miss it been here 24 years I’m disabled so it’s hard for me. Leather work makes me feel like I have self worth. If I could do what you do I would be on cloud nine just tickled to death with myself. Thanks

Your English is fine, my friend. Your work... is amazing! So talented. So gifted. I wish I had started my new leather hobby 40 years ago. I’m very happy and grateful to find your videos , but kind of depressed, as I think I’ll never be as good. Be well, sir. 👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You're doing fine, with your English. And you are doing amazing 'Bad Ass' leather work, man! I personally , would like to see, more holster & knife sheath work. Plus , if there are any patterns or designs, that you would like to share, that would be awesome. Man!, You do excellent work. I am glad I found your channel. I am learning a lot . And I just started about 2 weeks ago. I have already made a head knife sheath, a medallion Mexican type sheath, and I'm starting, tonite, on my glass slicker case. Thanks, brother. keep doing , what you're doing.

i do not use a burnishing wheel. I use a piece of deer antler. When I was in school there was not a burnishing wheel. I believe an antler work better and the result is superior finish. Just my way of doing it. There is not right or wrong way of doing it.

Thanx. I'm about to begin with a Bowie knife sheath, can make a tutorial on that project.
Hey I was wanting to make that ribbon A video you did for years ago. Tandy camouflage tool c830 can’t find that at Tandy.Can find the b203. I see Springfield leather has a C830. Don’t know if it’s the same any idea. I want to make that ribbon bad on my purses
@boothillcustomleather86523 жыл бұрын
Hi.. C830 would be the same at SLC as at Tandys.

I am 6 months into leather making. It seems most of the videos I find, everyone has $5,000 wrapped up in equipment. How can I ever make anything like you make with only hand tools? I would like to see how to make holsters and gun belts with what I have.
@boothillcustomleather86523 жыл бұрын
I will keep that in mind. It's no problem to make it with hand tools it just takes longer. Will make a video about it.

If someone waist is a 34 how long would the belt have to be to fit a 34 inch waist is there a chart or something to go by so I can put my belt on Facebook already done that way if their waist was a 36 or 38 I would know how to make the belt the right size to fit that waist I ordered that tool in my leather from Springfield this morning
@boothillcustomleather86523 жыл бұрын
I always ask my customers to measure one of there belts from the hole they use to the buckle fold. I only make custom belts.

I apologize for being stupid but your saying I can get that stamp at Springfield leather company. I’m sorry it’s almost 5 in the morning here. I’ve been up all night trying to order leather. I ordered 6 to7 ounce for purses at Tandy‘s I needed 5 to6. Springfield has 5 to6 ounce veggie tan. So I will order it there tomorrow I will call them don’t understand the website they have. They sell it by the square foot don’t understand that I don’t want a bunch of squares. I need 3 half sides I have only been doing this a few years and not very long through the few years. I have a muscle disease it has me where I can’t work a regular job. I almost off myself 2 weeks ago. So I decided to get back making leather stuff. Well I’m just babbling I’m tired. Thanks so much for getting back to me with that tool I can get at Springfield leather you’re saying
@boothillcustomleather86523 жыл бұрын
Here is the stamp www.springfieldleather.com/Stamping-Tool-C830-Camouflage When they say its sold by sq ft it means that you pay for the sq ft. Let's say the leather costs $10/sq ft and you buy a 10 sq ft hide, then you pay $100. And it doesn't means that the hide is square, it can be 2x5 feet
