Finally.... we now get new videos from the legendary Darren himself. ha ha. I love the private community very helpful people looking for nothing else but to help. P.S. You definitely need to do a weekly vlog where one of your KZbin fans can bring a car to you to find or fix the problem or visit your local shops and do a free fault finding video.

Glad you’re enjoying MM.com ; you know we’ve been busy in there! 😁 Got some new YT videos lined up, hope to get them recorded soon. That sounds like a cool idea. Where are you based? 😬

First class trade instructors are hard to find, your attitude and knowledge is gold plated. Off topic but did not know where to post, have you ever used a USB isolator for any of your Picoscopes to protect the laptop and the scope.

Thanks! No I’ve not come across anything like that. Will check it out 👍

Thanks boss for your effort in getting us this video, I think we really need a very deep explanation on cam and crank signal scoping, as a beginner. Many videos don’t really show things in a detail way. Teach us the beginner how to really really find this faults, a lot of the videos explain it, like we already knows

Hi Darren, love the videos, Recently purchased Pico 2000 series recently, Just wondering will a 600amp Clamp be sufficient enough for working on heavy diesel engines???

Thanks! For relative compression, the initial spike might go a bit higher than that. But thinking about it, they are 24V so in theory the current might not be much higher compared to cars… I’ve never tried 😳

Darren what is a creamy PDI?
@colinreid7305 Жыл бұрын
When I was in the trade a PDI was a pre delivery inspection

Haha! Yeah, basically a new car check over. Dealer techs will know. Used to get good time for them and nice clean work 😆

I come across daily and speaking to other techs, gather as much information off the customer and even go for a test drive and let them drive the vehicle to show you the fault as nobody drives the same and the vehicle will act differently, and gather as much information off the customer and try get the truth as i have been sent down the wrong route many times. Example i was chatting the other day to a tech he had a non start spent few hours doing tests chasing his tail then it comes about that the vehicle had been jump started and leads put on the wrong way, the trade isn't getting any easier
