We all can see the inductance. So great. That doesn't mean anything. Be informative and precise, tell what voltages we need to look for. Stop the BS.

I love the way mechanics think something is designed by just one engineer who's out to make their life difficult. Most products are designed in blocks by different teams of engineers who are all under pressure to cut cost as much as possible. By the time the whole thing is brought together and problems can be identified it's often too late to make significant changes.

@JoeBob7956911 күн бұрын
This is great. I've had the 2204A for a few years, and I've had an intermittent can-bus fault on my car for ages, but I've always had laptop issues (I've probably gone through 4 crappy laptops all with different issues) and I never got around to properly using the Picoscope. But I have a new laptop on the way so this method sounds perfect for getting to the root of the problem..

Hello. I'm new to oscilloscopes and I was wondering why you opted for the hds272s instead of the hds242s. Is there anything on an automobile that couldn't be tested with the 40Mhz bandwidth of the hds242s?
@MechanicMindset12 күн бұрын
No, that 242s will be fine - actually 40Mhz is well above the minimum requirement for most signals. The limit with this small hand held scope is the screen size and resolution

Thanks for the great video. I was impressed to see that your multimeter measures frequency for pulsed DC signals - when you were measuring the frequency of the switching signal from the MAF sensor. I've been looking for a multimeter that will measure more than the frequency of an AC signal - one like you're using. Most multimeters the frequency measurement can only count the frequency of a signal when the signal passes the 0 volt line - like in the case of an AC signal. The only meter i've come across that can measure the frequency of a pulsed DC signal, is the Fluke 87V. Which is not within my price range. Thanks again for the great video.

Which amp clamp to you think you use the most with this pico, the low 60 amp clamp or this one? I'm going to buy one amp clamp now then the other later and trying to decide if I should buy the lower amp clamp first or this one. I'm a DIY guy.
