I’ve been biking for decades. The thing with flat tires, they run in streaks . The worst day I had was 6 flats in 50 miles, after that I had no more for the next 60 miles, the end of the ride. My point, flats can come in bunches, get used to fixing them and never go riding without a spare inner tube, pump and patch kit.

Absolutely, I tried flipping a Schwinn off of Facebook Marketplace, the quality is so much worse. Glad you got the Kent!

Hey question are your pedals welded to the crank set? I want to upgrade pedals but can take them of 😔

Do you have a pedal wrench? You could also replace the crank arms if they are stripped/cross threaded.

Yes but no Matter how hard I try to unscrew them they just won’t budge

@@EdgarLopez-uv8tu Look up Park Tool's Tutorial here on KZbin. If your doing everything correctly and they still wont budge, then they're probably cross threaded. Likely an assemblers fault, you might have to replace the crank arms.

For what you're going to ride, the mechanical disc brakes are just fine. Save the dough.

Yeah I might just have to save for full suspension, but that's next level expensive!

​@@SidwellAdventures i think the only thing id really strongly recommend for that bike is some nicer pedals. makes a world of difference when you have pedals you can trust. shoes are up there with that too Also, tubeless is a very nice plus too. but if you plan on sticking with tubes for now, make sure that your rim tape is okay. i had a rim that would poke a hole in the tube about every time i rode

Thanks for the advice! The rim tape looks really good at the moment, I’ve never done tubeless before, but I’ll have to try it sometime 🤔

@@SidwellAdventures I recently got a Trouvaille, and popped both tubes in one ride. I upgraded to CST Rock Hawk tires, gorilla tape, tubeless schrader valves, and Stan's sealant. Been running tubeless for about a month now with no issues!
