This was very informative, thank you. I used to have very bad rosacea, but IPL really made a huge difference. That, along with staying out of the sun and avoiding inflammatory foods. Your skin looks gorgeous!

@@Kiera_R IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light. It's a non-invasive and non-ablative cosmetic treatment used to address various skin concerns, including rosacea. IPL uses high-intensity pulses of broad-spectrum light to target specific pigments or structures in the skin, such as blood vessels or melanin (responsible for skin pigmentation).

Christa, this is my first visit to your channel. First of all you are gorgeous! My Rosacea had been pretty much under control…due to having no wine or any alcohol, no coffee or chocolate, no spicy food. However, recently my face really flared up. In my case I believe it is due to stress. I have a lot of nerve racking things going on and don’t see an end to these unfortunate circumstances. My face is actually stinging, itching and very dry. I appreciate all of the items you suggested and will be giving them a try. Thank you for all of this info.

Thank you so much for this information. I just got diagnosed with rosacea and it is now clear that ive had this for over a decade and now at my worst point. My dr had denied my initial request to see a dermatologist as he felt i had shingles. I went back at month later as the pimples had now spread which is when he referred me. Thankfully a quick appointment and im so relieved to have answers. As someone who loves sitting in the sun and loves spicy foods, I can see why the flare-ups have been constant). This video was a devine intervention 😊

I agree completely, people who deal with acne, rosacea - whatever it may be, often face confidence issues as well. I know for me it was extremely frustrating when I was at my worst. However, in most cases it is about shifting our own mindset, and realizing others actually don't care what our skin looks like!

Thank you for sharing your experiences. I've been using Metronidazole cream at bedtime and 20mg doxycycline 2x/day. 20mg can't kill bacteria, so no risk of overuse of antibiotics. It's an anti-enzymatic at that dosage. I use sulfur soap on any new bumps. Leave on for 2 min, then rinse. I use La Roche-Posay tinted sunscreen in the morning. The active ingredient, titanium dioxide, seems to help dry new pustules. Zinc-based sunscreens also help dry them, but I haven't found a tinted zinc sunscreen that covers as well as LRP. I wash with Vanicream at night.

Thanks for this video! Good to hear you manage rosacea so well!Isotretinoin (oral) was the winning medication for me in the worst period of my rosacea. Pimples gone forever! Redness and flushing come and go but it's okay if you know how to live with it. IPL sessions helped a lot to get rid of sun spots I get extremely fast from sun exposure but it's painful and expensive. Now I use Skinoren - 20% azaleic acid - and tretinoin cream every day and sunscreen of course. Beauty of jeseon is like silk on your face.

I’m a Rosacea sufferer as well. I’m 54 with oily skin. I use the Vanicream cleanser, the facial moisturizer and their facial SPF. My game changer is 15% Prescription Azaleic Acid. I use it 2x a day. If you feel tingling after using is, make sure your skin is completely DRY before applying. Unfortunately, I’m unable to use other actives, which sucks because I fight sebaceous filaments. I do get pustules and papules but my grief is broken capillaries. Anyone notice they have noticeably more on the left side of your face? It’s because that side of your face faces the window while your driving. I didn’t use spf in my younger years and now I’m living with the permanent redness and broken capillaries. I tried IPL and I don’t care what anyone says, I hurts! It feels like a rubber band snapping on your skin. A thin layer of Estée Lauder’s Double Wear Foundation is great.

Azaleic acid made my skin much worse right from the start….stinging, burning, increased redness and breakouts. Derm switched me to Metronidazole cream which hasn’t aggravated my skin but also hasn’t shown any improvement. I’m also using a prescription sulphur-based face wash (can’t recall name) which makes my face feel dry after using. I’ve got a clean diet and don’t use alcohol, caffeine, chocolate, or spicy foods. I take high quality supplements and keep stress level manageable. Very frustrating. After reading many positive skin benefits from red light therapy, I purchased a panel last week and hope that will help.

So the way i use azalaic acid, (I use Azclear which is an Australian brand and is 20%) is over my moisturiser. It still works incredibly well but doesn't irritate my skin at all. I've also incorporated niacinamide from the ordinary. But as its 10% which is a bit strong for skin with rosacea I mix a few drops with my day moisturiser and then spread it all over my skin. It feels amazing!

It can be really tricky - the sun is bad for rosacea, and many people don't tolerate sunscreen well! I created a shop my the link is in my description with all my favourite products listed by category. Feel free to look through it for ideas, and then come back and ask specific questions about any products. It's hard for me to recommend based on what products are available for you, your preference of mineral/chemical, preferred price point etc. I will say - sometimes opting for mineral over chemical is more tolerable by those of us with rosacea, and avoiding fragrance. Let me know!

I have mild rosacea, and the best thing I've ever done was start using azelaic acid. (I use the Peach Slices one. It's %10 and has centella.) Before I was using it I would get flare-ups anytime I tried to use actives on my cheeks. (salicylic acid, retinoids.) The bad thing was I kinda needed to use those for my acne, so it was a bit of a cycle. Since I've introduced it I can use actives no problem, as long as i don't over do them. I also flare up with really spicy food, and I've even noticed the flare-ups from that isn't as bad now.
