How does ambusher work, and how can a medium know pipe was amb?

ambusher attacks 1 other person(non-maf) who visits the ambusher's target. Everybody who visits the same target as the ambusher(including the one killed by the ambusher) gets to see the name of the ambusher. In this case the medium knew pipe was amb because the Coven Leader pipe killed n1 got that info upon dying and was able to relay it to the medium, which is why medium counters ambusher, since the person that dies to ambusher will always know exactly who it was that killed them.
