When I lost my baby, In 2009, I called you guys and you sent me a package with a little card titled “My Precious One” I still have it, and though everyone forgot about my miscarried baby, I didn’t-and many times I’ve told myself, Focus on The Family thought of my baby as a real baby, so I will meet My child one day.

Oh I love this. I lost 4 and birthed 4. My first miscarriage my Catholic husband at the time, got me a St Michael card for miscarried and aborted babies. When I connected pain of miscarriage and abortion I never truly believed in choice but was choice- that moment I became fully pro life

BECAUSE THE PRECIOUS LORD JESUS HAS FORGIVEN ME AND I HAVE FORGIVEN MYSELF ALL THOUGH I STILL HAVE A HEART ACHE.

I had an abortion years ago. I didn't want to do it but I was backed into a corner with my life and my mother had told me I need to have it done. I don't blame her because like this lady said, she was doing what she thought was best, but it has been about 7 years now and I'm still an absolute mess over it. I cry and repent almost daily. The funny thing is, I feel in my heart it was a boy, and the name that keeps coming to me is John. I would never choose that as a name as it's really old fashioned, but that's the name that's in my heart when I think about him. So when I saw this and you felt yours was named John, my jaw literally dropped.

Hello, friend. We’re glad Cynthia’s testimony touched your heart in a special way. Also, we’re sorry to hear about your experience with an abortion in the past, and we can certainly understand the feelings you expressed. We’ll be praying, asking God to draw you closer to Himself and fill you with His strength and peace. On a similar note, we’d like to make you aware of two resources that we hope would minister to you: our Healing the Hurt booklet {media.focusonthefamily.com/heartlink/pdf/new-healing-the-hurt-2018.pdf} and an article series titled “Dealing With the Trauma of a Past Abortion” {www.focusonthefamily.com/pro-life/pre-born/dealing-with-the-trauma-of-a-past-abortion}. In addition, we invite you to browse our online list of recommended materials {www.focusonthefamily.com/resources-hope-healing-after-abortion/}. Of particular interest might be the book A Solitary Sorrow: Finding Healing and Wholeness After Abortion by Teri Reisser. It’s available through our online Family Store at store.focusonthefamily.com. If you’d like to discuss your situation at greater length, please feel free to contact Focus on the Family’s Counseling Department Monday through Friday between 6:00 A.M. and 8:00 P.M. Mountain time at 1-800-A-FAMILY (232-6459). When you call, just give your number to the Family Help Center staff member who answers the phone. They will pass along your contact information to one of our professional counselors, who will return your call just as soon as they’re able. May God bless and guide you, friend.

My husband's cousin had an abortion at a young age. Later when she married and had a child she wanted, she could never forgive herself for the one she had terminated. She slowly started losing her mind, her marriage ended and she lost custody of her child. She took her own life. I wish she had ben able to come to a point of reconciliation. Keep telling your story and reaching out to those who need it.

that's so sad, if only she could have found someone to talk to like this lady, someone who could have shown her the way to redemption

I can completely relate to your cousin . It is indeed an unbearable pain and when in unplanned pregnancy it can be very challenging to keep it because the society tells us it’s the easy way out. But no one tells you how terrible the loss and regret afterwards. (From experience…) So you can’t say she hasn’t thought her options , only that it is really so hard and you cannot realise the magnitude of it only when it’s too late . Maybe if she had custody she would know she has to stay in this world to raise him

I 'see' the Chronicles of Healed for Life in our nation. Every mother's face on the cover of a book just like mine. the voices of moms united in the healing and redemption of Jesus to eradicate abortion from our nation. When the mother's heart is healed and speaks, the Lord can move mountains through it. Let it be Lord! Blessings Lynnette and thank YOU for encouraging me!

God's freedom, redemption, and healing are afforded to all of God's children. Yes, read Romans in-depth, cry out to the Father, who will in turn reach out to you. I am praying for you, celebrating your tears, and appreciating the connection.
