@@ahonestlifemoralvalues8132 That is awesome!!! I've been wanting to be a paralegal for 25 yrs. It turned out this way for a reason. My eyes have been opened to the "justice" system. And I've been researching Mass Incarcerations. And I've seen my son's experience with the system. So I absolutely know my calling. There are people that absolutely belong in prison. But a lot of the prison population (even tho the U.S. is only 4% of the world's population, we have MORE prisons than ALL countries COMBINED!!!) are jailed for non violent, victimless crimes. Too many people's lives ruined for unjust and unconstitutional laws. These people are kidnapped, caged, held for ransom from their families, persecuted relentlessly, oftentimes in the opposition of truth, to feed the monstrous, revenue generating Prison Industry. Filling these prisons FOR Profit is big buisness here in the U.S. preying on the poor of society. I'm going for it!! This is my calling. My passion. Criminal Justice is where I belong.

Hey Misty. Thanks for sharing your amazing story!! That was just heart breaking. I'm glad you found your calling. What's crazy is I've worked in nursing homes for many years. I really enjoyed working with the Resident's and being able to bring a smile to their face. Your video's are helping me so much to be able to make my decision and do what I've always wanted to do!! It's always very interesting to hear your stories and experiences in this field. Thanks for sharing 👍

@@KandiXoXoXoyes...there are so many people there that dont deserve to be...im working to free my brother right now! He resisted arrest with a deadly weapon ...in other words he discharged a fire arm while running from the police. No one was injured. He was charged with attempted murder and sentenced to 20 years. When he went to court the judge i structed the jury that attemped murder is a general intent charge! Its not..it specific intent! It requires expressed malice! And to top it off the malice i structions were givin to the jury when there was evidence presented that would to support a lesser included offense! Without these mistakes made by the courts he would not have been convicted of attempted to murder police when he ran 20 to 30 yards away from them before the first shot was fired.

Aw here we go, I had that moment you all in the law and psychiatric fields talk about. As you were containing your emotion, I was tearing up when you got to the part where the defense attorney put his hand on the woman in the wheelchair's hand. I'll have my Paralegal Certification in April so I need to get in tune with these emotions beforehand.

i'm looking to change careers and go in to paralegal. ive done billing for over a decade and I don't enjoy it. It's not meaningful for me. I want a job where I can communicate with people and help them. I'm nervous to get a paralegal certificate and then not get a job. Because I lack experience. Even tho i did some paralegal work in between my billing role. Is a certificate enough for this career change? I already have a degree in Business.

I used to be with the state attorneys office, primarily juvenile court. I started to become bias after a rape case that involved a repeat offender, because the repeat offender was underage all they could do was recommend programs and therapy. He had raped 6 girls 1 a baby and he was only 15. I couldn’t deal, so i left. I work workers comp now, im happy. But i dont trust children, i have seen how evil and cruel they can be, and the whole notion of “someone did it to them first” is not true for every case.

Yes, there are cases I have worked on that have rocked me to my core. Those cases stay with you. You're a trooper for hanging in there as long as you did, but I'm happy to read you found a position that doesn't stress you out as much. Stay passionate! Thanks for watching and commenting. I appreciate you!
