These are really good tips. Boring mundane task in a non super tech space is exactly the best idea.

I love your boring ideas - ERP was a boring idea; CRM even more boring. And look at how big these markets are 😊 you get really great at solving boring problems, the solution accumulates a sticky customer base that is a barrier to entry on its own.

My idea is an e-scooter rental service app. Okay how will I set myself apart from the competition? Simple: They have speakers. There is an option to use the scooter for free but then it will blast music and ads at full Volume.

I have a similiar idea, but mine is to sell for free intelligent door lockers, and then collect a monthly subscrition from my customers, otherwise they will sleep on the mat outside every day.

Hahahahhaha I love the idea. You could embarrass people so badly by blasting some silly ads so they agree to pay a huge amount just out of embarrassment 😂

Hi Samuel. Great video. I can recommend reading Blue Ocean Strategy if you haven't. The book provides a great framework with a step by step guide to how to find 'Blue Ocean' ideas to pursue.

Intriguing...Where to look for good patentable ideas? A boring but a good idea which is patentable, can be hard to sell to a company too.

Tbh, patents are kinda worthless for startups. Only really make sense for big corporations

Mr. Bosch, I just saw one of your vids that talks about leaving the ph.D program at MIT. See, I majored in Mathematics and Philosophy at a flagship college in America. Now, I think I want to find a job which can use my math skills. Pure mathematics itself is far away from our society and it makes me struggle to find a job. I found that cryptography is the mixture of pure math and CS, so I think I can combine pure math and practical skills like programming. Thus, my dream is to go to the grad school and study cryptography there. Then, I want to work in the internet security or research about its structure. Would you enlighten me the future of cryptography and give me your general opinion? Thank you!

Cryptography and security is definitely a viable path that is virtually guaranteed to stay relevant long term :)

He looks like someone who came from an extremely privileged background and is able to spend time experimenting on education and startup as well. Anyway, good for you. Make the most of your background.

It’s actually almost impossible to find a new idea to build a startup around these days. I can think of the most obscure ideas like a smart mirror to help you do makeup/get ready for the day or handlebars for your toilet seat and someone has already done it lmao. I guess I gotta try out building something from an already existing idea because it’s ridiculous how so many people have the same ideas. 😂
