I have gifted cards before and made my own boxes. I won’t lie - it was touch and go making sure I was cutting everything to the right size to make the boxes and lids! I like this die set!!

That box with those cards you made would make such a great gift for someone! I think we are all tired of paying 10.00 for a card. Great ideas and reinforcing for me to not overthink designs. I live in Winnipeg but will be flying to Calgary next week to watch two grandsons competing in a speed skating competition at the Oval and plan to spend this weekend making my two sisters each a set of cards. Who knows how long the postal strike is going to last. Good thing I did my cards extra early this year and can hand deliver cards to sisters, nieces and friends while we’re in Calgary. Thanks for your continued inspiration.

OMGoodness! First those cards are screaming my style! gorgeous! But 31 minutes? I work non-stop for 5 hours a day and it took 4 days to make 16 Simple Thanksgiving cards and matching envelopes! No way! I’ll never be able to do that and I used to work in assembly so I’m very organized and assembly oriented.

Great cards! I like making “Thank You” card sets and giving them to Brides and Moms-to-be for them to send out after their events. The fun thing with those is you can use their wedding or shower colors/theme when making them and that takes out a lot of the fussy, picky stuff that slows us all down. TBH I miss the days of a single drawer of embellishments, a little tote for paper and a binder with stickers. “New” people want “hoards” like what they see many have and I tell them don’t do it! Life and creativity was so much easier and faster! TFS! ❤

Thank you for this! I have been thinking of making card sets as gifts and I have a 3D rose embossing folder from Altenew that I've used just once. It is gorgeous but it is so large I was having problems figuring out ways to use it. This makes so much sense to cut out a piece and emboss it rather than emboss the whole thing, then cut it. That gives a different perspective. And I love the simple color palette. I have the worst time with colors. I think I might purchase that color cube thingy to help me with that. lol

I've been using Erica's dies for a little over a year now and I love them. There are so many bits and bobs included to play with. And, she designs all of the dies that she sells herself. An added bonus is that she is one of the nicest people to talk to. I do like the large HBD to you die, but I think it would look better even just a 1/4 inch shorter.

i have been wanting to check that site out! Cool! These cards are beautiful! If you could teach me how to make one card in 31 minutes I’d be shocked! And I know what I want to do pretty fast! It still takes me 4-5 hours to make a card, even if the background is done already or just a foil! And I’m moving the whole time! I just can’t speed up. it’s so frustrating!
