Love the look of this. Drill press could be handy during this process.

I like the one potato, two potato! ;) You do great work! I have never seen one of these boats in person, but they look like they'd be so much fun to ride in!

@@JollyRoger907 I'm in Northeast Louisiana. If you ever get down this way I'd love to go for a ride! I would much rather have something like a small jet boat than a ski-doo or something like that. :) I've been following all of your videos. (Love the vette by the way, that's my favorite color).

Thanks Eric, it looks good. I'm going to do this on my dashboard and MAYBE the stern if I don't f-up the dash.

i did the same thing to the sides of my Wooldridge with a 4" pad adaptor and 220 grit sandpaper using my drill. cut the oxide well but yes it does have some texture, i dont really mind the texture too much i just needed to remove or hide all of the road rock chips from trailering down the highway, and dings from bouncing off the rocks on the river. if i had the adaptor for the angle grinder that woulda worked so much better i think. good vid thx sir.

i saw i guy many years ago to this on a stainless countertop with the wire cup and always liked the look, kinda like fish scales so it was fitting to do it on a boat.

Do you have any recommendations on a coat to protect it from rusting? I am doing my motorcycle sportster gas tank.

Boats are aluminum so no rust….if it’s steel, maybe just a clear coat.

Old school hot-rodders called it machine turning. You think it would be OK to use "Mississippi " instead of "potato". It's just what I learned as a kid and you know the drill, old dogs and new tricks.
