I love watching how you manage vermicomposting with all the accommodations you do! What a great way to mindlessly pass time listening to a podcast or watching TV while sorting out your harvest!! That was a quite a bit of worms that got to spend the night in a fast food container!! Always fun to watch a release!! Great video Sandra!!🪱🪱🪱

Thanks Patrick. I seem to be gaining a reputation for spontaneous harvests. Our life is just so upside down at the moment, I didn't want to set a baiting operation and then forget about it. I really appreciate all your support! ~ Sandra

Hi Nick, actually that wasn't Prince Charming, so he is still MIA! I think you said in a comment on the last video that he was at the other end, so that's the next place I'll look. ~ Sandra

Good morning, Sandra, from Windermere, Florida zone 9b USA That's a great way to watch TV and still make progress on collecting Castings or filtering out Overs. Waste no time! ❤Peggy❤

I just planned ahead with cloths for my hands and the table, Peggy. The vermicompost wasn't muddy at all, which helped a lot. ~ Sandra

I would think that hand picking is better than sifting because it's less stress on the worms. Great info and thanks for sharing.

Packed with such helpful information, Sandra. Your worms are so loved. I think this gentle method shows your kindness to them. That was a lot of worms pulled!

Thanks Greta. My fingers were definitely tired after that exercise. As long as I can be gentle with the worms, I think they are less stressed over this type of harvest. ~ Sandra

Hi Sandra, like you I like to have something going on in the background while I harvest castings, usually it is music for me. I do find that once I've stopped harvesting and look at the time, I'm surprised at how much time has passed. They say time flies when you're having fun. Have fun, Mark : ) I think prince charming is in the lower left corner : ) 🪱

Thanks Mark. I'll look for PC the next time I feed Cinderella. I'm now catching up watching the French Open (please don't give the winner away!). I can't listen most of the time and just watch when I hear a tennis racket hit a ball 😎 ~ Sandra
