this girl is a great person, she helped me realize that it's very possible to get all the requirements done in a reasonable time and get accepted in-state. :)

This was soooo helpful hearing about the sciences! Some of them have been rough (microbio lol- one of the schools in my state requires it) and it worries me so much.

thank you sm for this video! super helpful :) i have a question -- since the PTCAS application opens in june, and people usually apply that summer of their junior year, is it possible to document in advance the observation hours you'll be getting? besides the minimum hour requirement, would you be able to reflect those additional hours (for example you get a job as a PT aide in your senior year) on your PTCAS application as a junior?
@kristennicolosi2 жыл бұрын
you’re so welcome!! you can “update” your application after you submit it i believe. you do need to get the hours verified, either through a signed form that you scan onto PTCAS or through an e-signature from the PT you shadowed. so unfortunately I don’t think theres a way to put them in without having them verified. you can always reach out to PTCAS directly to ask & if anything talk about these other experiences in your interview if you can’t include them in your actual application. best of luck to you!😊💗

I'm also a ABT (applied behavior tech) do I add that under "employment or extracurricular activities" in ptcas?

Thank you for making these videos! How do you see the average applicant for specific schools for pt? Thanks!
@kristennicolosi2 жыл бұрын
just google (XYZ university) PTCAS! it will take you to a page with details about the program and average stats. look under the tab "admission requirements" once you get to the certain schools page on PTCAS. also sometimes more information of "accepted class stats" is on the actual university website. hope this helps!! thanks for watching

How did you document all your hours prior to putting them into ptcas? Ill be shadowing a PT for the first time so I want to be sure I'm prepared
@kristennicolosi Жыл бұрын
most clinics have a sheet they keep for you to fill out! or you can just log it yourself in an excel document and the PT that you shadowed will have to verify that you shadowed them by e-signing

hi! I love your videos! I have a question; you said that people usually would apply on June before senior year. But I see DPT programs requiring Bachelor's degree as their requirement. Would that matter that I'm a junior and haven't got my degree yet? or is it only wanting to see that I am going to finish my bachelor's degree? I;m sorry for the messy questions but I hope you understand!
@kristennicolosi Жыл бұрын
hi thank you for supporting my channel! it is typical to apply summer before senior year, and you just state your intent to finish your Bachelors that year. Upon program acceptance, your letter will likely say it is contingent upon proof of graduation and final transcripts being sent in once you graduate. Hope this helps!
@yeyounglee4769 Жыл бұрын
@@kristennicolosi that helped greatly!!!! Thank you so much! Then about prerequisite courses, do they have to be done taking before application? Or like graduation would i be able to certify later that i took it??

yes both were through UGA! ask your advisor good ones that fit your major. the Taiwan athletic training maymester is run by UGA, but people from any school can apply so you can look into that as well if you’re interested. hope this helps!😊
