Please everyone listen!! Travel PT for 2-3 years right out of school!! You can net 90-120k salary! Do not take a perm job! You’ll love it!

How would you payoff your $150k-$200k (undergrad and DPT school) student loan with $80k salary?

Thank you so much for sharing! I am in my last semester of PT school before 2 final clinicals and I feel like this information should be shared much more frequently! I'm in PA as well so this was very helpful

There is NO LAW that says salary sharing is illegal. You CAN share your salary!!! This is why there is soooo many differences in salaries with folks that have the SAME experience and educational background. Stop being private about salaries and take away the power from greedy corporations!

Congratulations Kristen, I'm excited for you and your future as a DPT. I am adding this again from another of your blogs because this one pertains directly to salary so: For all of you DPT majors, being a very close friend to a PTs for years, it is very possible to make as much as other Doctorial professions in the medical field and even more, if and when you decide to own your own practice! I would advise working for some years under and with other DPT professional before ever branching out, but it is an excellent goal to strive for.

I start my first clinical rotation in an acute care setting and I’m nervous yet excited because before PT school I only had experience in outpatient ortho. How was your clinical experience in the acute care setting? Do you have any advice?
@kristennicolosi
@kristennicolosi Жыл бұрын
Don't be afraid to ask for help, especially if a patient needs more assist! Make sure to communicate with your CI about things you are nervous about so they know how to best support you. I loved acute care and working will all the different disciplines. You got this :)

Quick pointer average salary is based off a 40 hour week. If your worried about money when you first graduate try pushing 50-60 hours a week and you should be in the 6 figures mark (100k+) if your fine with start salary then stick with it. Personally for me I want to push 50-60 hours to catch up on money since I’d have been in school for 7 years

Wow this is just the whole opposite of what you should be doing. All due respect but this is the problem with the system. I found a hack!! Travel PT for like 2-3 years and pay off all your loans and save some money then take a perm job where you want. I net 6 figures traveling in a 40hr work week.

Its bc I've watched your videos for 3 years that my brother is considering being a physical therapist aide! He thinks the idea of being a physical therapist would be really cool after i talked about what I've learned from watching you but he refuses to take the licensing exam so we found out, in California at least, aides don't have to have a license, just a certification so since his AA degree will be in kinesiology, an aide cert would be a really good next step
