Thank you Jason! I discovered Zen two times. Once around 10 years ago, at first as an edgy curiosity with all the shit-sticks and cat-chopping and, of course, "Mu!" I then discovered it from you, factually speaking. I was on a mission to save my life, and your teaching on KZbin was accessible and conspicuously related to my mission. Plus I had ideas that it is very, very good that you were a monk. "Ah-ha! Jason found the bone, left the mountain, then finally became a regular person!" Ok, I need your help Jason. Sometimes I have a free day here or there. I would like to do solo retreats at home. Do you have a schedule for a 24 hour solo retreat? I have another space, I can be free of electronics and my habits more or less. How is food chosen? I see solo retreats where like four ingredients or so are listed... does that include salt or oil or do they need to be on the list? Thank you!

Thank you for sharing Michael. I have a solo retreat schedule my teacher game me. I also have the list of foods I brought. Very simple and needs no refrigeration. Schedule a 1:1 so we can talk about it more. I guess we could also email.

The guy with the drum Is goooood. For me was around 16-18 years, where I found a koan book. I wanted to know the answers to some of It and found out zen was linked to Kung fu Shaolin. But here there was nothing like that, then a friend suggested me Kung fu and I started that. No zen there, some meditation but mostly qi qong and daoist practice. Which helped me a lot and still does. But then long story short I keep looking at zen books. I found one where they speak of one master seung sahn with just one or two teachigs. I said to myself, Whos that guy and bought dropping ashes on Buddha. It really resonated with me and found out later about the school and the empty gate live stream. And now here I am on a train for Milan. And Jason Is stuck with me
