Btw when you do a DIY protein treatment with eggs your hair will definitely be softer and moisturized, but if your looking for protein the amino acids in eggs are actually too large to penetrate the hair shaft. In order for protein to be beneficial it must be hydrolyzed which means that the amino acids have been broken down.

I would say from personal experience only use a protein treatment once a month when your hair is extremely weak once you notice your hair getting back to the normal state thats when you start back doing the tratments evey 3 or 4 months to much protein can cause the hair to break off or refuse moisture this is from my experience. . I have 4c with low porosity hair

Can we first discuss how you just came straight out the gate with the hair and makeup slayage? Thanks for sharing your experience. This video was definitely helpful (although my coins may disagree). I will officially be 1 year into my transition next month and my hair has been acting as if it has been possessed. I'm sure stress has been a major contributor along with the transitioning process in general. I will definitely be trying some of these products. And people always say, "It's just hair" but I personally don't feel the best about myself when my hair isn't right, especially when I'm trying to do everything that I know to keep it healthy. So thanks again for always keeping it 100. And you already know we want to see that updated curly hair routine.

I truly understand hair issues. My hair thinned out due to illness and two treatments that I had and when I tell you I could have made two wigs and a hair piece, really I could. I just got my hair cut two weeks an inch and half like you and just washed my hair and I can see the fullness that was once there. Before it was see through. So happy. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Omg. Thank you so much for this video. Ever since I finished nursing my 4th child my hair has taken a turn for the worst. I have been doing mad treatments and taking vitamins which have helped tremendously but I was still suffering from thinning hairs. I have been wearing wigs because I am embarrassed. I have been so depressed fearing that I could never have full or thicker hair again. I use the redken anti snap and I thought was enough protein but I am learning that is not enough. I am going to give some of your tips a try and I feel confident that I am going to see change. I hate that you had to go through tribulations with you hair but grateful for the knowledge you have bestowed. I did not realize it would be okay to deep condition twice in a week. Thank you so so much.
@nvrnakednails12317 жыл бұрын
I am having some of the same issues with my hair that you do. First I cut it, and it was better but not right ya know. Then I did the two step protein treatment two days ago, and I immediately saw a difference when I rinsed it out. Since you should only do the two step every 4-6 weeks in between Aphogee said that it was ok to do the two minute keratin treatment on the off weeks. Now that I've finally reached Waist length I'm on my way back to healthy!

I stopped using products with protein awhile, unintentionally. And I noticed I was having SO MUCH BREAKAGE. And I couldn't understand why because I do low manipulation styles, rarely, use heat, and trim my hair regularly. I realized I need to start adding protein for strength because I was focusing on moisture so much. I just started adding the Aphogee products into my routine and am starting to see a difference
