The working days and hours will depend on what you have agreed with your practice, if you decide that due to childcare you can only work certain days then they can be flexible but it has to work out for both you and them xx

Hey hun, honestly finding a sponsorship has become tricky in the UK but don’t give up because there are many jobs that in primary care not just GPN that offer COS

Practice nurse job don't give a sponsorship. You have to keep working with your sponsorship to get more experience and change when you get settled.

@@baileymo hey, yes they do but as you can imagine it’s very competitive and they are looking for particular skill set and experience which not all nurses whether international or home nurse will not have. GPN is one of the hardest roles get into because it’s a specialist role so they expect independent working. You may not always have a big team like in hospitals.

Dont you have to do a masters to be a gnp?

No you don't, you have to do a course that is recognised as a level 7 course but it's not a full masters degree just course. You can do this independently but in most cases the practice offering the job will sponsor the course for you. (fully funded by the practice through PHE)

Hiiii sister! I’m a newly qualified nurse 4 months now. I’m currently working in hospital acute medicine. I’m planning to go into practice nursing in GP surgery... do you think 1 year is enough? Xx I’m scared I won’t be too skilled enough

1 year is fine I was only qualified 10 months when I went into general practice, you just have to be proactive in seeking out new position and call your local Gp ask if they’re hiring GPNs, say you have acute skills and ready to be trained on immunisations xx

Hey you have to be a registered nurse right before going into gp nurse can you be a child nurse and to into GP nursing?

You can definitely apply as a child nurse, even mental health nurses can apply

I've been an AMU staff nurse in a hospital for a year now (from being Newly Qualified) but now im looking to transition into general practice nursing!
