Congrats on your new job! I’m a Japanese woman living in Tokyo. This is my first comment but I’ve been enjoying your videos for a while for my English learning. Happy that you came to Tokyo:) GL!!

I'm also planning to do one year of language school next year after graduating from university! I'm really anxious about job-hunting because I feel like I have a bunch of really low skills (self-learned) and experiences related to the industry I want to work in: hopefully, a content writing job for a Japanese travel company or culture magazine. I'm actually graduating from a university in Japan (I'm doing an English degree though) and I'm trying to consistently post blog articles on life and travel in Japan. For social media, I'm really only active on Instagram and even then, I'm not posting consistently. I guess I have more than a year to build up my portfolio further, travel more, and be more active on social media, but it's still a lot of things to juggle at once. Kind of an info dump but thank you for making this video and sharing your experience. It really does remind me that it's possible to work in industries other than teaching in Japan! I'll just do my best for now and see where it takes me. I'll keep watching your videos as well! I really enjoy them ☺

Thanks for sharing and congrats on graduating! There are actually a lot of opportunities once you’re in the country and graduating from a school here gives you a great advantage! Best of luck ^^

Hii again... sorry for bothering you but only your answers makes sense to me on youtube... So, if i clear my class 12th amd have n5 so can i apply for sen mon gakko without learning Japanese??? Can i come direct to san mon gakko for graduation after my 12th??? Please answer... i like your vlogs and how you speak that's very sweat❤

Hello! Hmm I’m not sure about Sen Mon Gakko… I think for most of them you need N2 but it’s possible that there might be some English ones. There’s definitely English colleges in Tokyo and you can apply to a language school here without a degree and only N5. Thanks for watching and best of luck! ^^

Is it possible to get English teacher job without college degree?? I have studied 12 years in English medium school.. nervous asking you this😅
@ChefinJapan

Hello! Unfortunately a college degree is necessary to qualify for the visa required to have an English teaching job in Japan. You can however come here as a student if you want to study here and get an English teaching job part time without a degree (note you’re only allowed to work part time in a student visa). Hope this helps!

@@ChefinJapan The transision from teacher to student would do wonders. I'm currently thinking about going through that phase (teaching in korea -> moving to JP)
