Tom isnt reading all her warning signs. He is expecting he's gonna receive what he is giving her. Listen, if her daughter has a cellphone that tells me she isnt a small child. That woman has time for him. He needs to stop settlling for crumbs of quality time.

Dude, that was painful to hear... I'm sorry to be this guy but this woman sounds like a pain in the ass, and Tom is too blinded to see it. He seems to be into her waaaay more than she is into him, and he suffered for 15 months while she seemed to move on very quickly according to what he said. Do not forget she is a single mum, and it's way harder for them to find a replacement as they age. My intuition is she visited his dating profile because she realized she was going to end up alone, she used her daughter to "call him by mistake" so that they have an excuse to reconnect, and it seemed to work quite well since you did! Also you displayed some beta behaviors ("you're the most beautiful girl in the world, I miss you too much"... Come on man!) so she knows she can get away with anything. I may be wrong and I hope I am, but I don't see this reconnection lasting for very long, if you're reading this please reply to this message in 3 months 😉 All the best man! PS : in the end you said "Next time I won't be heartbroken" : you can't be more wrong, the 2nd time hits way harder than the first time trust me! Hope she won't take your soul out 🙏

Totally agree with the beta part I understand he loved her and wanted her back but she should have had to earn her place back and if she was showing interest he should have met her just under her level of interest and absolutely if it fails again it will be twice as hard!! Plus in my opinion the 4 hour phone call was too much you can't give it back to them all at once too fast too quick if there are no consequences and she doesn't have to put in the work she will leave easy again. Just my opinion

I feel this man's pain!! I was totally blindsided by a text on my birthday saying it was over, then it took 3 days just to get her to talk to me and I still don't know what happened and why and I am still stuck to this day!! Totally in the same boat this hit hard I know exactly how he felt, I bet he wasn't even interested in the women he was dating in my opinion if you're gonna break up with someone rip their heart out have the decency and courage to look them in the eye

Tom, I am so incredibly happy for you. I'm sure you feel like you beat the odds and I'm amazed that you hung in there. God knows I've been criticized for that. However, it seems as if you took Vincent's advice and tried hard, but you were also not willing to deny how you really feel inside and I give you a lot of credit because I'm sure there was pressure from your friends to move on and forget about her and she's no good and a lot of other things that they've said to try to get you to not love her the way you do. I think Tom's ex was using her daughter's phone to text him. I don't think it was the daughter texting him at all. I sensed that from the minute she lied about joining a dating app to spy on him. I agree that not getting closure is the worst. It basically leaves you stuck in dating purgatory.

I was through the same experience and the truth is it probably won’t last considering you don’t realize. The reason she became grumpy was most likely because of the way YOU behaved. You weren’t showing up how you should in a relationship and she started to back away.

This is an amazing story its been over a year for me and i'm still waiting for my ex to contact me. Ive just been working on myself since. Personally i think the missed phone call that came from her daughter was not a mistake!

Omg tom this whole story you talked about i went threw the same thing my ex and i dated a 1-1/2 & she was all about her family first she put me second well she left me said i was the problem i screwed everything up well anyways she wind up getting back with her kids dad lasted a year with him , she came looking for me she text for a good week straight she wanted to see me well it went in from there i took her back this time i did alot more for her she did it again to me she chose her family before me we lasted 10months well i did no contact and she did try working her way back in couple times i said to leave me alone and know its been a year again & know she is dating someone else

@@ULTIMATEUNITED2000 yes for 15 months. I never contacted him, he was stalking my whatsapp stories for the first 8 months daily. After that I had enough and deleted him and his reaction was to block me. Kind of confusing, he was the dumper. He also showed jealousy, blocking, unblocking and blocking during the first 8 months
