What kind of permit do you have if you are in Switzerland and how difficult it was to get it?

Thank you sister. You get me a work visa for Switzerland.

I had the L permit for 2 years and B for 3 years and then I found out that USA and Canadian citizens can apply for the C (permanent residency) after 5 years and that's what I did and it was approved. Now I'm a permanent resident and it's a relief. I also had to renew my L and B permits annually. I'm not sure why I was given the L permits because I never had a limited or temporary work contract. It was always open-ended (unbefristet).

Yes, I know how it feels. Russian citizens can also apply for C permit after 5 years but in my case the years for master program didn’t count at all.

@@lizastime That's terrible! But, it always works out in the end.

*How did you get the L permit to begin with? Or better yet, how did you find a job in Switzerland? I did some research and found that American physicians don't easily find jobs in Switzerland. So I am at sea.*
@LisaCulton Жыл бұрын
@@khaleefax9553 I didn't have a choice in the type of permit that was issued at the beginning. It's difficult for no- EU/EFTA physicians to get a license to practice in Switzerland, however physicians can more easily get a job in the Pharma industry where they aren't doing patient care.

Great video, I have one question though, which is that do the individual cantons have different requirements regarding the issuance of PR? As in, say I want to go and study (and then eventually work) in Zurich, what would the process of that be? Thanks in advance!

So , in your case because you from Russia you get B level only valid for 1 year ? And what after 1 year to renew with documents that approves your studying or you can stop the studying after first year and a little rest or work . What will be if you in second year will decide to change your plan , can you renew ?
@lizastime3 жыл бұрын
Yes, I had it for 1 year and had to bring documents every year. Every time I had to prove that I was still studying / working
