Hey friends! So good to see you again! And as I've said it last week, this second part really is as incredible as the first one! In a way, I'm so happy that Royal could've found his car back, especially after seeing it twice! It all is really crazy, and especially that the thiefs showed themselves with it, right below his eyes! But though, despite this, I really think that Royal did what he had to do, and I also commend him for that! He's been really brave to do it all, and even to tell his story the way he did it! I imagine so well how it must've not been easy for him, but, as I've said it, he did really well! And in another way, I'm still feeling so sorry and sad that this happened to him this way! And more again, that it didn't work the way you would've wanted, that you couldn't get this car back, and also that the thiefs still couldn't have been caught the way they should've, yet! But though, it's also pretty good and relieving, in a way, that the Police have been there to do their job and help, nevertheless! And so, to answer your question, I will say that it depends! I mean, it could've been on both ways, like, you could've opened the car if you, and especially Royal still had a way to do it, even with a duplicated key or something just like this, of the car! But as you all probably didn't have any, and so, no one among you could have that possibility, I think that the Police could've helped with it, but not as violently as they did it, with breaking the car's windows, and everything like this! Though they did really well to do it too, with all that they've found inside it, the drugs and everything! And also with the number plate! As I've told you last week, on the first part, they really have to be some perfect morons to do something as stupid as this! Changing the plate as if the car couldn't be recognized, like this! It was a beautiful bullshit from them, thinking that you wouldn't recognize it, even with a false plate, and leaving their drugs and all of their dirts inside! In any case, I hope that the Police had the intelligence to take all of the prints that they could on it, so, that they will be caught and arrested very quickly soon! And also, I'm really happy for all of you, that you've fallen on someone you knew to help, in the Police! That's really relieving too, and then, you can be sure that they will be a good help for you! I mean, it's always pretty good and useful too, to have someone we know right on place, in every situation! So, that it's also relieving and it avoids us feeling lost! In any case, I'm still sending you all, and especially Royal, much courage, strenght, and support, on this nightmare, as you've called it all! And you're absolutely right, it really is so! Once again, it's been really great to see you again, today! Especially that I've had a kinda hard and nightmarish weekend as well, with my family! Actually, we've had some pretty bad surprises that truly scared us, about my Grandpa, who still is at the hospital, it's been a little bit more than a week, now! Last week, he's had a first emergency surgery on a big stomach ulcer, that burst into his stomach and punctured it all, and spread some fluid everywhere in his belly, and also an hernia that made it so painful to him for weeks, and even for months, now! Everything went well, first, but then, during the night from Friday to Saturday, he's suffered some huge stomach pain again, and after doing 2 scans on it, it turns out he's had a malformed artery between his liver and his stomach that kinda burst too, and was turning into an aneurysm that could've have turned worse with hemorrhage! So, the doctors and surgeons decided to transfer him quickly to another bigger hospital, for another emergency surgery, and to do it safely! And they did really well, Grandpa has avoided the worst, but the thing is that we, as his family, had no clue that he was there, as they didn't tell us, and we've all had a huge fear not knowing where he was! And we got really mad at the hospital's professionnals too, for not doing their job properly and warning us about it all! But fortunately, and thanks to God, everything went well again, and Grandpa was doing ok, yesterday night! Even though, on our way to visit him, we've also dealt with a running out car, at the middle of the highway, and we finally got to see him, after waiting around 30 minutes, at night time, and in the cold, before we got some help! Anyway, in any case, when we went back to the hospital, today, Grandpa wasn't doing as well, unfortunately! He was pretty hectatic in his bed, and he's also had a fever (though we still don't know where it's coming from), he also was kinda tired, delirious and lost, he's forgotten where he was, thinking he was at his home, seeing many things, saying many incomprehensible things, and simply not really being himself! It's been kinda worrying! So, we've been told that this is probably a secondary effects from the little anesthesia that he's had, but we do, hope that he will get some rest, and that tomorrow will be better for him! There's no reason for it not to be so! So, there you are, I'm sorry for being out of the topic, but I really needed to tell about it, and I didn't dare making it in the livechat, as I didn't wanna break the good atmosphere, on there! But though, it's also one of the reason why, as I've said it, it's been really great to me, to see all of you and all of the friends, here, too, and smile with you all! Especially while finding back these funny moments, like, the starving FrannyJ, still enjoying her food, as always! This hasn't changed at all! And also, in general, while seeing and hearing everyone joking around and laughing together! Just pretty good! In any case, I wish you and everyone all the best, and I'm sending you all again, much courage, strenght, and support! Hoping that there will be a positive end for all of you, quickly, soon, and especially for Royal, who, I'm saying it once again, has done a really great job in doing everything he had to do! So, congratulations to him on this, and also to all of you on helping him in this! You truly all are an exemplary family! And thank you to all of you for sharing all this with us! Hoping to see you again quickly soon! With all my heart and love to all of you! 👏👏❤❤

It should be down to the police to open the car
@valeriapope8250 Жыл бұрын
I think that it was the police's responsibility to open Royal's car because it was his car that was stolen. I can see that if he locked his keys in the car and didn't have a spare one. I don't understand that 🤷🏽♀️
@jacluv7862 Жыл бұрын
I think they should of opened the car, but it might be a liability thing for them not have opened the car. That’s why it’s good to have AAA or something like that in emergencies. I remember not having AAA or full coverage insurance on my car & when I got in a car accident I realized it’s important to save money and pay for those extra things. I definitely learned a lot w/ my car accident experience and now have a nicer new car.
@TheFamilyRules Жыл бұрын
@@jacluv7862 I agree. But if we didn't have the car opened within a time period they would have just left and put in their system that the car was recovered. Luckily we do have AAA so just went that route. I just feel with our approval they should open it so they can investigate and try to find evidence to find the criminals.

My brothers truck was stole in Virginia . He locked it and did not leave the key in the truck . I remember when it happened , he called and the family gathered at his house . A vehicle in no way is equal to a person or the same as a loss of a loved one but something happens to a person when that happens. It is almost post traumatic, a violation of sort . You experience anger , frustration and want to find the person . He did turn it over to the police , nothing happened. They told him it was probably put on a chopping block. The there was a ring in the area . The truck was replaced by Insurance but it definitely left him with a feeling . Made him more cautious. I am very cautious about where a park and I lock my car.

I can sympathize with Royal. I feel for you dude. I was driving my mother's car and parked it on the backside of the post office to get out and mail a bill. I had to park and get out because the mailbox was on the passenger's side and I thought it would be best to get out and mail it. Now I wish I would have just slid over and dropped it in. As I was parking I saw a man standing on the corner. He looked a bit antsy, but not threatening. I was in a hurry cause I had just enough time to go home and get my mom (we had somewhere to go) not more than 3 minutes away. This is the neighborhood I grew up in, in New Orleans since 1963, to his event happened in 1984. So as I walk the short distance 10 feet back to the car, the guy is walking fast toward me. I thought he needed directions are something. There was a small shopping center around there and lots of foot traffic. It's a mostly residential area will a private university, too. As I'm getting into the car, with my handbag on my shoulder (that had the bill I needed to mail) and about to sit down, the guy grabs the car door. I'm in confused at this point, not thinking this guy is up to no good. So he says, "Give me the keys!" I'm in shock so I just looked at him and said, "WHAT!?" He said, "I SAID give me the keys!" I still didn't move. And then he pulled out a small gun and pointed it at me. And repeated,"Give me the keys!" (Honestly, the gun was so small I thought it was a toy. I never saw a gun before. And the ones the showed on tv back then were huge magnums, etc from Dirty Harry movies and cop shows). So, I got that this guy was serious, and finally I got out of the car and stood there beside it. Then the dude jumps in, puts the keys in the ignition, starts the car and speeds off. I just stood there, out of body experience for a second. Then I screamed, "That guy just stole my mother's car!!!" I turn around and there was someone walking towards the corner, on the sidewalk by the parking lot, in front of the post office. So I repeated myself. But they looked as confused as I was and did nothing. Then one of the girls from the Chinese restaurant across the street rushed out. (She knew me because I got food there frequently.) And she asked if I was hurt or anything. (I wasn't.) Then she asked what happened. Then she said, "I'll go and call the police." They come in about 10 minutes and asked what happened. So I tell them and they filled in the report and talk on the radio, etc. And they asked if they can call anyone for me. As I asked them to call home and the talked to my dad. He called one of my brothers and they both came. I asked what's the chance of recovery. They said, very low. They said, they bring me home in their car, but it stank of blood from an arrest the night before. But my family were on the way in the next 10-15 minutes. I call the insurance company and all that. They cut my mother a check for the carjacked vehicle and that's that. So my mother rents a car for a month then buys a new car. So ⏩ to six weeks on a Friday evening around six o'clock, I'm the only one at home. A police detective calls and I talk to him. He says it's about closing out the carjacked vehicle, since it was found. I said, "FOUND!!" Nobody called to say it was found " He said, "Yeah it was found in Beaumont Texas. I asked, "In what condition?" Det says, "Excellent. And being it wasn't "claimed " they, the police sold it as savage." WTH! in my mind, I said. So they closed the case, before they decided to even call my mother, the car owner. Door slammed and 🔒. So I tell my mother. She's upset. Nothing can be done. It was a nice car Olds Delta '88. Anyway my uncle found our through a cop he knew, after him and his wife were robbed at gunpoint and had all their jewelry stolen off them, right in their own driveway. Anyway there was a ring of carjackers (this was way before we even called this carjacking) working in New Orleans. They were stealing cars, in good condition, and selling them across the border in Mexico. Frankly, I think the cops were in on the whole thing.

Pay for a locksmith?? Police can open the vehicle. Most don't unless its an emergency because of liability. Emergencies like a child locked in or something. Depends on the Jurisdiction but usually police or Fire departments carry door unlocking kits. Though most insurances have lock out services covered in roadside services.

@@TheFamilyRules As a longtime Dispatcher I think the higher ups are wary of the officer's abilities to use the kits on the peoples car competently. Locking systems are different. It’s the Wild West out here! My husband & I when we met we each owned a home. His house was smaller so we stayed living there until our family grew. we moved into mine ( now ours) and in the middle of moving I found out I was pregnant. I’m high risk, and we have no help for no but each other. So our small house sat for a few weeks unoccupied. In those few weeks the house was broken into. We still had 80% of our belongings in it, packed. They took EVERYTHING out of our packed boxes. Stole our landscaping machines, guitar, money and left drug paraphernalia. They made themselves at home, cooked and left a DISASTER.we obviously called the police, the took down a “statement “ and that was it. Well a few days after that they broke in again!! This time the police took finger prints. It’s been 7 months and we have not heard back from the investigators. After talking to a few of the officers they pretty much said that if they are caught, they more than likely will get out next day 🙄 . So here we are still trying to pick up the pieces trying to get out house repacked & on top of it all fix all the damages THEY did, so we can sell the house. I’m in my last months of pregnancy so I can’t help my husband & we also have an autistic toddler who goes to school and therapy all day. These criminals have no idea how hard people work to have what they own. My husband grew up in foster care, served the country for 20yrs, I’m 1st generation American, I’ve also worked for almost 20yrs. It’s taken so much sacrifice to accomplish we have.

Why didn't Royal have a second set of keys? You always make a second set of keys for the car and your home . .. it would of saved time and he wouldn't have to have to lock smith come out ..I am sorry Royal and your family had to go through this challenge in life ... I know what it like to have something stolen someone broke into my home they stole my son's piggy bank and dvd player ... you feel violated you feel stripped of dignity ECT...I am glad you solved the case ..BUT Royal make a second set of keys for the car and your home to keep at your parents house ....god bless you beautiful family..have a better positive chapters ..☺️🤗💜🦋🙏👍

Did you get the license plate and photo of the black car?
@TheFamilyRules Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately we didn't. Not sure we had any for sure evidence they had something to do with it either so would have been hard for police to do anything with that info.

Yo that was crazy but im glad he found his car. Did they ever catch the person that took your son's car? I've been a fan of the family for years and i enjoy all that u guys do.
@TheFamilyRules Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching Janette! We never caught the person unfortunately.

I was so happy for Royal but now it seems so unfair for him even if it's safer to let the car go.

I'm glad it was found - not the best of scenarios, but it's some form of closure at least. Interesting that cops do dna swabs there - here, in comparison - they would have to forensically recover the vehicle (if believed to have evidence left over or vital to its investigation) - the forensic recovery would be done at the cost of the police force, however once it has been taken to the pound where they forensically examine the vehicle, there will be a per day storage charge payable by owner of vehicle. In most circumstances though, that fee per day would be covered by insurance. Police here (UK) aren't trained or expected to carry out basic swabs/testing/dna recovery with the exception of bagging items.

Our cops have tools to open cars. It must not be in the budget!

Sad if that's what it is.

When TJ started talkin about how the cops wanted them to pay for the locksmith I felt him on that angle as a black person things like this by the cops is total all the time to me I kind of feel like it was a racial thing but it probably wasn't and how he's feeling about the situation is how I feel and I've been through those situations as well as I know people who've been through those situations especially with cars and being pulled over or having something stolen from you and then they try to question you like you did it and everything like that so I'm one hundred percent agree with TJ on that whole situation when they found the car.

Wow,sorry ur car got stolen🤯🤯,and how in the world they want u to pay to get in the car when its their job to do their job like gettin in the car to look for evidence
@TheFamilyRules Жыл бұрын
Exactly what I thought...made no sense. But that's what they said. If they wanted them to help any further we had to pay to get the car unlocked.

The cop wanted you guys to pay because he knew it was a Jackson and when he saw you guys he saw 💵💵💵 like a mug 🤣 but glad nobody was hurt I know royal is upset but he can always get another car you can’t get another life 🙏🏿

Tj & Royal I’m a security officer & I work with the state troopers, I could ask one if he should have gotten into the car himself 👍.
@TheFamilyRules Жыл бұрын
I'm sure he was just doing his job but would love to know if this is a common practice.
@chrissykaufman6393 Жыл бұрын
Ok I’ll ask 👍. Im not sure under what circumstances that would call for them to open the car or the owner. I’m working tonight so when I see a state trooper which I do see them quite often because there’s a recreational place that brings in tons of “activity “ lol.
@chrissykaufman6393 Жыл бұрын
Hey Tj. I explained what happened with Royal’s car to a police officer, he said different states have different protocols for getting into cars for liability reasons. If the police get a call to seize a vehicle they would need a search warrant to get into it. The only way a police officer would break into a vehicle is if somebody is dying or A child trapped inside the vehicle. I hope that helps. If you have any other questions just let me know & I’ll ask an officer. 👍 I didn’t see a police officer here in the center all night and then all of a sudden 4 cars show up 😂.

So angry about it all for you. We have been through very similar. Naaa!! You shouldn’t have to pay for a locksmith!! The law is so wrong sometimes. I 100% understand why some people take the law into their own hands. How suss was that black car?? I’m happy it’s over (kinda) for you all. Enjoy your new car Royal! Focus on the silver lining 🤷🏼♀️👍

Why don't the cop's have a slim jim, most cops carry one in their car?
@aijonlonkey4998 Жыл бұрын
Oh hell no I wouldn't pay for that, they can I lock it or have firefighters do it.

One of the cops should’ve investigated the other car that was watching y’all. That was probable cause.
