Sushi Saito, nicknamed the Sushi God of Tokyo, no longer operates its main location in Tokyo to the public, but this location in Hong Kong remains accessible! However, securing a reservation here is no easy task. Keep watching to see how I managed to secure a spot here for their sushi omakase!

what's the process around asking to film ? do you talk about it when reserving or when you arrive ? are most restaurants open to it or do many require convincing or just don't allow it at all ? thanks !

Before making any reservations, I always check if they have policies listed regarding filming. I also check once more at the restaurant with the staff and chefs if filming is allowed. For some restaurants, I do reach out through email to ask about their filming policy and if it's possible to be seated near the chef for the best seat for filming. Hopefully this answers your question!

The plates and bowls used in omakase are so beautiful. Does the chef pick them out or someone else?

Unfortunately, I didn't ask about their dishwares, but I've heard many chefs do choose their own dishwares to present their dishes

I certainly would not travel to Hong Kong simply to experience Sushi Saito. From what you presented in this video it appears to be more about hype than substance. Thank you for sharing.

Flying to another country just for a restaurant might be a bit too extreme; however, for those who're already planning to visit Hong Kong, I would say Sushi Saito is worth adding into the itinerary

Although I didn't recognize the name, I did when the manicured nails picked up the sushi. WOW ! Distracting and so is the mis-use of umami.

I'm not gonna lie, this doesnt look that good. The otoro at my local sushi place is waaaay better plus they have otoro and kama toro for $14 an order of 2 nigiri. Often they top with uni or caviar for me since I'm a regular. This toro looked mid at best. And most places charging $400-500 have good shit like raw lobster sashimi (probably the best yet most expensive food I've had) not some cod jacking off in the back room 😂🤦
