One advantage of semi-hollow bodies like the PRS CE 24 is, if you don't feel like plugging in, you can just grab your guitar and hear what you're playing when you're unplugged. It's tough to do that with a solid body.

Great stuff re: creating own tones and want to say it has helped me with My Line 6 Firehawk as well. Even though that unit is older and nowhere near as full-featured, I could get pretty close to the tone by following what you did and choosing the closest options/parameters. I was pretty amazed actually, have tended to just use or tweak the presets. So quite useful beyond Pod Go methinks!

it's a very good tone but I have to say that I really don't associate it with the santana tone. santata tone has more gain, more low mids and not so bright.

Thank you so much for this video. I have some of your True Fire lessons and think they are great. Was very cool to see how you attack building a tone on a PODGO. Really appreciate the free PG presets. I have downloaded and purchased quite a few various presets and like how much more lively yours sound. I replaced the cab with a ToneJunkie IR of the same type and made it a little sweeter. Would love to see more of your tone magic with the PODGO. Looking forward to your Santana lesson.

I have found it is pretty easy to get decent Gain and High gain tones out of most guitar processors but, few of them can get cleans that i can live with. Corey sure got some really good tones on this sample !

I have tremendous respect and admiration for Corey. He is not only a tremendous guitarist, he is also one of the best guitar teachers out, ever. But, the first 6:30 of this video is only about the PRS guitar! Disappointing. Then, although the tone he demonstrates is excellent, to me it does not sound like Santana. Way too much reverb/delay and not enough low mids. In addition, Santana's sound has evolved considerably over the years. Various periods = quite different tones. So it all depends on which of his sounds you like. To me, Santana's best tones were on Abraxas = SG; then Moonflower = Yamaha SBG2000. I love PRS, but to me, those years are not Carlos' best tones. On the other hand, his MUSIC never fails to please. Carlos is a (inter)national treasure. Again, no disrespect to Corey who is one of the best around. Viva Carlos Santana (and Corey too)!!!
