Thank you! Doesnt make a difference. I usually put it as an after node because I mostly want to have its effect on the whole timeline. Its just a habit and really depends on the project.

Don't agree with you about masterclasses. A fixed Node Tree with 20, 30 nodes don't mean you need everyone of them. But you can use it as a Preset, Pre-Labled. It is also important if you "link nodes". The TAC masterclasses with Walter Volaptto (1 and 2) are pretty amazing. Or "Learn with the Masters" where you can listen to 8, 9 different colorist for 10 hours. There are a lot of great information in those classes. I think you need to practise practise practise. but there is a masterclass by "Alex von Hurkan" on Color Managment and you need good teachers to learn all the stuff. I went to film school and I learn editing, directing, camera. But not so much stuff on color grading. Qazu sucks, and other classes, too. But some others are really really good. How to propper apply a LUT, how to do Halation, understanding which tool in Resolve works better scene refered or in Rec709. There are good teachers on KZbin, too (Cullen Kelly and Darren) but thats pretty much it. Just two. But much more to discover in courses. But thats my opinion :)

I dont want to name any names here as I dont want to talk negatively about anyone. But you know which masterclasses I was talking about. And even their tutorials they often use nodetrees that really dont apply to projects with many shots and many different cameras. Walter Volpatto is awesome, Learn with the Masters as well. That‘s what actually wanted to say with my comment in the video (which I failed to do). There is so mich good content out there which doesnt necessarily come in the form of expensive master classes. Also websites like Lowepost or Mixing Light.

Having graded footage from a bunch of cameras....do you personally notice and major difference when it comes to dynamic range and color bit depth? Like does the arri alexa really hold that much more information when it comes to dynamic range or does color bit depth matter more; in which case most cameras are close. I'm asking from the frame of someone looking to buy an arri alexa classic. Lol.

Its rather the color science behind it that really is in another league. Alexa stuff just looks different and comes the closest to actual film regarding that and things like highlight rolloff etc.
