If you live in Florida, dual enrollment is your best friend when graduating early. 1 semester of college classes = 1 year. That’s how I did it

I’m going to potentially graduate this year too, the only roadblock is the ACT. I found out I was eligible to graduate early this year (my junior year), so I’m going to a community college for only my freshman year, so I don’t have to worry about deadlines this year.

16 years old really isn't early any more and you don't need to have reasons. Forget the high school courses because most community colleges will allow you apply the classes to both high school and eventually a 4 year college. Graduating at 16 years old doesn't need to as difficult as this girl made it. I had a bit of a leg up due to starting high school courses at 11 years old and college courses at 14 years old. My plans include finishing my associate degree at 17.5 and then starting my 4 year degree the semester afterward. Graduating at 16 is easy!

So I’m 15 a freshmen. So I moved states after my first semester final. & I wasn’t enrolled second semester at the high school I was suppose to be enrolled in (I didn’t get enrolled b/c we didn’t have information that we needed to get into the school) so I’m guessing I’m going to be a repeat 😤😪 is it possible for me to still graduate early?

I’m 14 going into freshman year and I want to graduate because I want to be a surgeon, and that’s eight years of college plus residency! I don’t know if anyone who has the experience will see this but what about extracurriculars through the school? I still want to be involved because that’s important to apply for college. But with taking extra classes (and then being all advanced) to get the credits will I have time to do extracurriculars? This year I’m going to be a majorette, part of the gifted program, and part of SCA (student council association) I’m just wondering because school hasn’t started for me yet and I have yet to talk to my guidance consoler.

I did FLVS Flex homeschool i stopped at my sophomore year due to a l o t (current) as a Florida resident I can get my ged as 16 years old. Using it I will be attending SCF then transfer to a university.

im 14 will be turning 15 in october and becoming a freshman . i had a whole plan dedicated for the next three years so i could travel the world. But my mom moved us overseas and now the only thing i can do is socialize and go to school. Bc of the language barrier and my invert tendencies covid and language barriers i will not socialize and school here is expensive for foreigners. bc i miss my home in the us and i want to get back on track with my life graduating early gives me room to negotiate my life and gain control over it.

Community college can be counted as high school courses. I would take them rather than high school courses. I plan on finishing my associate degree at 17 before transferring. It defiately saves a lot of money.

Sounds complicated when you deacribe it... All I had to do was declare foundation during sophomore yr and I skip and I only have to take come classes my school has 4 core classes and we have 8 periods in a day so take 8 core classes my junior yr and I graduate as if I skipped a grade

Actually some kids are smart enough to finish much younger, while others struggle to keep up. The current education system is set at how the average kid would progress at a standard classroom environment. It result in a situation where the dumb kids get left behind, while the smart kids are just there waiting for the other kids to catch up. When the primary and secondary schooling system was first introduced in ancient China (I didn't use to know this is a Chinese system) it was structure in a manner that allow kids to progress at their own speed. Like pre 20th century western Primary and secondary school, there was no grading system just a teacher teaching a class. But the difference between the two is that, in Asia, there was a standard exam that student must past to be able to move onto high school and then, after high school, a further test to allow them to move onto college. The west on the other hand, until the 20th century, able to get into college was more about having the right connections. When Japan first introduced compulsary educations system they set in place the year 1~12 system, base on an existing German system, this become the system we are familiar with today. However, this system still got its strength and weakness, with the dumb kids getting left behind and smart kids waiting for the dumb kids. The original system in ancient China, is not suitable for compulsary education. But, what it prove is that, some kids are able to progress much faster. It was not uncommon to see kids that graduated from high school and started college by the time they were 12 years old!
