It’s interesting to hear someone else’s take on this. I graduated in 3 years from UCSD, but so did most of my friends, so my experience was a bit different. I feel like I got lucky because my bio anth degree was interesting, but didn’t have too many requirements so I was able to take summers off, do research, be in Model UN, study abroad, etc. Sometimes I wonder if I made the right decision, but not graduating during the pandemic was definitely a plus. Thanks for the video and good luck in med school!

Hey! I am an incoming pre-med student at UCSD in the Muir College who is interested in graduating in 3 years. Would you recommend graduating early as a UCSD student and how difficult was it? Thank you so much!!
@98Meredith3 жыл бұрын
@@maddiesnyder421 Hi! I highly recommend graduating in three years. UCSD makes it pretty easy to do because most majors only require 12-15 courses. Do you have any AP or IB credit? If so, that will definitely help. Also, just because you’re pre-med doesn’t mean you have to major in bio, you can choose whatever major you want, just make sure you get your medical school prereqs in some way or another. I’d be happy to answer any other questions you have about UCSD.

@@98Meredith Great, thanks for that insight. Yes I do have some AP credit and dual credit classes that fortunately are transferrable. I didn't know that UCSD requires so few credits for majors so that's great to know! As of now I am a Human Bio major because that's what I am interested in, but it could definitely change. I'll definitely reach out if any other questions come up. Thanks so much for your help and go tritons! :)

Nice! I’ll be graduating in aerospace engineering in 3 years because of the AP exams I took in HS.

Thank you so much for this video! I’m a freshman on the same plan you’re doing. I’m planning on graduating in 3 years but I also want to do an MD/PHD program. I’m so conflicted on my plan of action, but I know I’ll figure it out over time

Im planning on going to dental school. I personally didn’t do good in high school. Now I’m 21 and found a passion in dentistry, after assisting for a year. I’m starting from ground zero and ready to go change for better

I graduated with an Associates before my high school diploma and I got 53 credits transferred to my university of choice. I'm considered a sophomore which is cool.

As amazing as always. Don’t think I will be doing the 3 year college. Thank you!

Whats not mentioned here is that, the sooner you graduate, the sooner you can start your career and get real world experience. if you're a yr or 2 ahead of your peers at a company, you will be that much farther. Imagine this, you're 22 years old starting your first job making 45 to 50k, in 10yrs you should be making a 100k to 120 at 32 or 33 years old. Time and experience is more important in this situation.
