This is so true. We Type 4's must embrace our texture as it is. For myself, as soon as I let go of trying to achieve "popping curls" my hair took off. Not only should you keep your hair goals to yourself, but you should keep your life goals to yourself. Feed your spirit and your body correctly and create a regimen that works for your hair and stick with it. All these things equal success.

No baby, if your hair secretes can help someone else go ahead and share it. Don't let other people's comments stop you from blessing someone else who may really need this. You can't tell a person how to think and feel rather you agree or not. You just help when you can, if I crumbled everything that the devil tried to stop and destroy me I would be in the hospital.

I had heat damage from a natural hair stylist and it took two years for my hair to grow back. Some of these natural hair stylist are horrible. Tip: only clip your ends when you feel you need to. People will have you looking bald headed because they're too lazy to do thick hair. Ok, rant over. I hope everyone has a beautiful hair journey.

A hair stylist friend would blow so much heat to my to speed up the drying because she had higher-paying clients . Lastly she let an assistant do my relaxer and burned my nape so much that charred my skin so I couldn’t sleep for two nights. I’m texturizing now. I’m gonna try your Henna treatment

The keeping your hair goals to yourself is the truest thing. I have 3c/4a hair, and it kinda skipped down to my generation so I am the only one who has the most curly hair in my family. My mom always has told me my hair was ugly and that I needed to put heat on it or regular hair dyes so the curls could be looser. I love this technique and I try not to mention hair around her so that she won’t insult my hair pattern. Thank you so much I love your energy you seem so sweet💜

It's almost 5 am when I should be sleeping when I came across this video. I must say you packed a lot of things in this video which i believe could be topics of many other videos. I thank you for taking the time to make this video and I can tell you spent a lot of time and energy in doing so . I subscribed immediately when i noticed the content and your messages should be heard because many women with your hair texture really don't know how truly blessed they are. We're living in a society that is truly not only against our hair , but our whole existence and portrays it as undesirable. Please break this video up and expound on each point because they need to be heard . There was a reason you had a bad experience with your hair and that is why you are as passionate with your newfound journey. Thank you for sharing this video. It touched on many different levels 💞 thanks once again. You're an angel.🥰😇

I got locs then after a while cut it off. I’m at bra strap length now and I’m going for waist length hair again. I have a few grays but that isn’t stopping me. You are a living doll!!! Yes I went natural almost 8 yrs ago and will NEVER go back... But my hair was starting to fall out (I had literally a bag of hair to show my doctor one time) everybody thought I was crazy because I had A LOT of hair, but I mean u know how your hair is supposed to look and feel to you. Well I have multiple problems with my hair, even thought it is beautiful it could be so much better. I have sebborrheic dermatitis in my scalp and it cannot STAND oils, I have had hormonal issues, and am on meds for blood pressure and diabetes but I still believe there is some way I can get healthier hair...I just haven't been able to yet...I trim , I protect, condition etc. Still no growth. Don't get me wrong I can MAKE it LOOK nice but it doesn't FEEL healthy. I have damage in the back and don't even use heat ever...I guess it's from meds (I AM over 45) so it just kind of depressing and yeah it's only hair but it's MY hair. Thank you for reading.

I don't blame you. I've helped a couple of people with fine hair, and I don't even think it's worth the risk. Maybe a blow out on medium heat at the max.

Yinka Naturalista that blown out hair can be wrapped and scarfed will make it extra straight too, another way is using rollers to stretch and then wrap

Yess, don't listen to the haters. People told me that my daughter will never have long hair like me because even at two years old, she had big bald spots. I often cut her hair to make it look nicer and even. My mother-in-law and often made fun of my daughter's hair saying that she had not inherited our genes so I told her that in a few years they would be surprised! Nobody believed it but today my daughter at 5 years old and the hair is down to her waist !!

My favorite advice was to keep your hair goals confidential...especially away from those haters. I also learned something today... It's impossible for them, but possible for you because you have ample amounts of self-esteem! So, I will continue to do my mental hair affirmations. I really need to get in the routine of actually writing them down. However, I do believe in them. For example, my hair type is perfect the way it is!

My hair took off when I decided I wanted longer hair without stretching it. I wanted length checks to be unnecessary. I wanted my natural curls to hang down my back without me moving my head. I didn’t want to use a blow dryer, hot comb, I don’t even own a flat iron. So I focused on health and left it alone. Just me and my frizzy curls

I'm I the only 4c texture who don't straighten my hair. I wet it comb it into a hair wrap let it dry then comb it down and it's straight enough? I wash and oil it then put it under a wig for protection. If you want straight hair without heat why don't you use the Nigeria band method where you stretch the hair with bands or string?

I am trying to grow my hair. The back of my hair is so short. It's so hard to catch it up. I started mixing Castro oil, argan oil, peppermint oil, tea tree oil, and aloe vera gel with my leave in conditioner. I braided my hair on Sunday. I want to leave these braids in for 2 weeks or more. Do you have any suggestions on how to grow the back of my hair? My diet is pretty good, but I truly hate to exercise.

Hie l have a similar problem mine was totally stuck 😂not growing at all until l met someone on KZbin who advised me to shave the back hair completely and leave the front which is long then when it’s starting to grow you moisturize it every morning and give it a proper massage with essential oils,, and don’t plate it with other hairs you should separate is and leave it like that, you can plate the rest but for that back part you should separate it and use protective hair style even lines are okay and you put these lines across not downwards, l just started the journey in March this year and trust me lm seeing it growing like crazy

Glad to stumble across your channel. I had a bad experience at a salon where I got burned badly by a relaxer and prior to that they used high heat to constantly blow my hair straight which is awful for 4c hair. I haven't touched a relaxer since 2016. I keep my hair in protective styles. I use shea butter and a moisturizing conditioner to prepoo prior to washing and my hair has been flourishing lately. Will be going on 5yrs natural summer 2021

i feel u sis.. i had a "healthy" relaxed hair like since the day i was born (probably) but then it started cutting irregularly , i began to watch youtube vids about how to grow back my hair and damn i think it just made the whole story worst ..lol.. i used ricewater, onion and so on and so forth. so last year i got pretty upset about my hair 'cus it was just not like normal.. i mean , my relaxed hair used to be so long it almost touched my shoulders but not it was sooooo short that i could not even pack it up..errgh... SO!! last year May, immediately i got home after a full session in school i decided to chop it off. i mean all of it.. i was pretty angry about the state my hair was in but my mom found her way to tell my barber not to cut it all off but he should just do a basic transition for me ..and boom!! used the Coke recipe (yeah,it works/worked) and now, its been a year and 3 months , and im rocking my natural hair and i love it ..slow growth but it feels a lot healthier than it was before.. so.. to anyone feeling discouraged about your hair feel free to chop it off and restart ^_^

Till last year December I decided to Cut it off& I told my self that I wanna go back Natural 🤔, I started Natural Journey it's almost 8 Months now & My Hair its growing Strong ,Health , Thicker.I started watching KZbin Videos around March due Covid ,I got some strategies on how to look after 4c, I have being following them ,but I made a big mistake around June Ihave to use Hairdryer cz my hair its started to change and become too shrinky after washing it 🤭Its got too dry for a week I got frustrated about it , but I continued to look after it then it's back ',popping Soft up to this far..My hair it's so happy.😊& I am starting to enjoy my 4c Natural again..thanks alot girl it's my Frirst time bumping on ur Channel I'm really inspired Iam watching from South Africa 🇿🇦.
