Great camera work and video. The cbn wheel looks good, made a nice profile/tooth shape. Tried but gave up on grinding with cheapo grinder and pink wheel years ago, no matter how I set it you just couldn't get the shape right so I focused on getting good at hand filing and never looked back. Every home owner chain I see is a horror show.

Nice job! I like that profile too, easy to touch up with a file in the field

If you kept going deeper (down into the gullet further) but kept that c profile - well, I guess it would be more of an back angled line into the gullet, what does that do? After a few sharpening's on the upper part of the tooth making the c, do you go back in and get out extra gullet material, but stay away from the actual "c" part?

I need to get a good grinder, I'm still using a Harbor Freight one that I had given to me a few years ago think it cost like $20. It flexs so much that there is no good way to control tooth size or depth of grind beyond just trying to flex it a similar amount for each tooth. I wanna also try that company square-jig to start doing some square grind

The flex is actually good for getting the exact profile you want. I just bend it and push on it a little, almost just like hand filing. It works really good on the little chains (3/8 low pro or pico) but does fine on 3/8 regular too. But, you need to know the profile you want, and bend and flex the arm to get it. Even Charles is moving the head a little when he is bouncing down and back a little, and then loosens up on the pull back against the stop so the tooth can move up just a little. I think knowing what the tooth should look like is super important. But, yeah, the big fat CBN wheel is pretty perfect for that chain.
