I bought some organic sweet potatoes from the grocery. I have them planted in soil and they just started sprouting. I have my 15 gallon grow bags ready. I'm in zone 10b so I hope I get a good harvest.

Have been thinking about planting some sweet potatoes. This is just my 3rd summer gardening--last year was a wash out because I got shingles and was too sick to garden. So, it's really my second summer garden. I may try them in a couple root bags. My garden is small--4 raised beds, 2 greenstalks, and several root bags. Thanks!

I love sweet potatoes! This will be my first year trying to grow them. I like Korean and Okinawan sweet potatoes, which I buy from an Asian grocery store. With you and many creators talking about preparing slips earlier this year, I decided to try those varieties to start slips in March. I have so many slips! You are going to love that additional variety, Kim. It is like candy.

You’re going to have so many sweet potatoes. I also grew more slips than I had space, so I potted a few in some hanging baskets just to have a pretty vine planter. I know I won’t get potatoes from them but the vines and flowers make a very pretty basket!

It maybe. A lot of sites are having sales on them right now. So you could get them for a good price
