I love you called it the "bad boy" technique. I never tried that one, I usually land on my hand. I have gotten a few nicks from the props but that was before I learned to stretch my fingers out well to avoid them :) Good video, thanks. I'll check out the vests as well.

Hi Henrik 👋😀. Thank you so very much for this very helpful and important how to catch the DJI mini 4 Pro Drone. And oh I really like the heated Nordic heat .helps keep you warm on a cold day. Have a great week and God bless 🙏

1:50 - this is the safest way to do it! Note that on some newer drones like the Air 3, it won't come down at all because it will detect that you're trying to land on something small. But if you switch into Sport mode, it will immediately work. This is why I recommend switching into Sport mode before you hold the stick down, the drone will not “hesitate” as much to land in your hand :)

It usually work, but not always, on the Mavic 3 pro. There it's better to use Advaned settings and turn off the downward sensor.
@YarosMallorca11 күн бұрын
@@Stefan_Boerjesson That works, but if you forget to re-enable it, the drone will smash full speed against the ground as you try to land normally.
@Stefan_Boerjesson11 күн бұрын
@@YarosMallorca No! It re-enables itself, at, I guess power down or power up at least. If for example autostart does it remains to investigate.

I like watching your videos and sometimes hear some small language mistakes. Here is a sweet one around 4:00 "... just grab it very very firmly, eller not firmly but...". But I also learn a lot, so please keep up the good work 😎

Hello, nice video! Today I made an video with my iPhone , neer the drone appr.20 cm suddenly it activate RTH. By it self. The distance was less then 5 mrt. Very strange behavior with air 3. Nice investigation video.for you. It went up to 5 mtrs alt. But setting was 30 mtr. I think it interfere with gps or so?

With my 5-inch 6S , I just disarm it and catch it while it falls. Much safer than landing a custom build while props are still spinning.

I do the same However, for safety I were a glove because the prop hit my finger once and did cut it (But not much)

You forgot the Belgium method...bring up the drone to 10 mtrs, emergency shut down the drone, throw away the control and try catching the drone two-handed 😂

What about the sensors? Do you need to do disengage before flight?

No need to

Me too, but I don’t flip the drone over, I just keep the stick pulled down and the motors stop without needing to turn the drone over! Although, I find the mini 3 and 4 tend to bob around quite a bit in the wind and I’ve taken to landing on a mat if it’s too windy, rather than suffering the finger slice 😬

I have a neck lanyard on the controller. Makes it much easier to start and launch.

Not sure what I'm missing. The sensors move the drone away when i try. Even trying to land on roof of my car, the sensors move to the side. I needed to switch to sport mode as i believe that turns off the sensors
@SmartSamsung-u5h11 күн бұрын
Keep your hand ✋🏼 still and keep pushing the stick down. It's so easy and you have the sensors on all the time.

Parece-me desnecessário forçar os motores repetidas vezes com o método de virar o drone ...
