Great job on the build. The intro and outro with Stan Rogers was a nice touch!

EŹ , so relaxing to watch a master at his craft !. Music takes you were ever. Went to Vancouver in 67 with my mum. Drove across Vancouver Island in a Beatle and watched planes/choppers fly overhead , full of water to douse a forest fire. Marvelous Country and people !!. Thanks bro. Dave

Amazing build. I currently have this kit sitting on my shelf and I think this video will be my go to for guidance and inspiration. I took one look at the instructions and immediately went and looked for a build log lol

I like the way the instructions are ignored and you build it how you want.

yes, I am an EZ (easy) builder. I followed the instructions for my first couple billings kits, did NOT work out well for me, lol

I don't remember it being a pale blue when I saw it in the museum in Vancouver. Very nice build.
@EZmodeling Жыл бұрын
Thank you, Garth. It was more like grayish blue on the real boat. possibly color fading over the years. I used brighter winter blue on the model.

Nice work, and helpful video. I’m building this right now. I think the blue prescribed in the kit is wrong - Hambrol 47 sea blue, is way too “baby blue” when compared to the picture on the box and all the vids on KZbin of the actual boat in the museum. I’m blending my own. A base of grey, with dark green, a touch of yellow ( which combines with the green to give a hint of blue, ) then a touch of black to darken it.

Bonjour ou trouvez-vous l'outil que vous utilisez pour mettre les clous de la coque et quelle est la grosse des clous. Merci beaucoup pour votre réponse. Votre vidéo est très intéressante. Je construis le St roch 605 en ce moment.

It is called nail pusher or driver, you can find them on most hobby store which sells wooden ship model kits, or you can find it at: modelexpo-online.com/Model-Expo-Nail-Driver-for-Miniature-Nails--MS109_p_1484.html Enjoy your build!

That’s a cool build. What is the flag (blue flag with the Union Jack in the corner) that you put on it? It’s like our NZ flag but I’ve never seen one with no stars on it before…
@EZmodeling Жыл бұрын
Thank you. The flag came with the kit. It should be a British naval Blue Ensign possibly used by RCMP back then
@sorenzx1923 Жыл бұрын
Howdy, that flag is the Canadian Blue Ensign. It was used on ships owned by the canadian government until the current flag was adopted in 1965. Its often seen with a crest to signify its province or assosiation. Its like the Red Ensigns used for each province and territory.
