Thanks for the video. I just purchased the Lemon hihats and they STILL have this problem. It took over three months from the time I ordered the cymbals until I had the replacement cable installed and kind of working. Still not a good as my Alesis hi hats were. I sure wish Lemon would fix these known problems given how much of a pain it is for customers to fix them. I am now wondering how they will deal with warranty issues, etc. I think this is a case where you get what you pay for...I would have gone with a different option if I knew then what I know now.

I look forward to hearing your feedback on the feel of the cymbals. I bought a Lemon splash to try out and it works well, but the "feel" when compared to the rest of my Roland cymbals is more like hitting a piece of cardboard. Keep up the great work, sir!

Great work! I actually contacted Lemon about my hats and they let me know that "someone" was checking the fix on their TD50 before they wanted to send me my replacement part. I'm glad it was you! The replacement for mine went perfectly, and I've actually dialed them in to work well on my TD17. I just posted my review of the hi hats. i'm pretty satisfied!

I got a simple 12" snare pad (side snare, like 45$ or so, these guys a crazy, really). It got a centre trigger and nice mesh head (a bit louder than the drum-tec design heads). And with the eDRUMin10 it actually does positional sensing quite good. If you need more info, let me know.

I got the 13x13 floor tom. It triggers ok overall, but ghost notes seem to be a no-go.
@eDrumsInANutshell Жыл бұрын
@Gordon Jeffrey ok, but ghost notes on the floor tom? Make sure you set the trigger setting right to get the best dynamics and you might have to tighten the mesh head. That is the thing on edrums that even a large stand tom pad will not feel like a 16" real floor tom.

I have a TD 17 kvx2 with the upgraded cymbals. I would like a larger ride. I run EZDrummer 3. Any recommendations?
@PEP.2 жыл бұрын
CY16-RT is an amazing cymbal from roland, or if youre looking for REALLY great cymbals, ATV 18" ride (or 16")
@TheeDrumWorkshop2 жыл бұрын
Depends how much you want to spend! As PEP. says, the Roland and ATV rides are great quality. There are also the 15" or 18" Lemon rides which are good on a budget. They're not as nice as the Roland ones and their shape is a bit flat in comparison, but lots of people are happy with the compromise for the value. I've got reviews on the channel of the Lemon cymbals as well as an 18" ride shootout (though the Roland digital ride won't be compatible).
@eDrumsInANutshell2 жыл бұрын
Hi Luke! Nice content! As I said below - these Lemon gear parts are crazy. A 18" ride for 80$. Ha! And the support is great. I mean, my wife told me I was nuts to order so many cymbals directly from China. I mean, ok, 5x 15", 1x 18" and the snare pad 12" that was a large expensive order. But I am completely satisfied. I got in touch with the support, too, and there were faster than a german company. Really. Are there any guys from Germany to place a bulk order? I mean, I like my 15" hats, but they are swinging a lot. So a two part hihat.... hmmm. Looking forward to your review, Luke! Thanks in advance for your efforts.
@TheeDrumWorkshop2 жыл бұрын
Glad you're enjoying the Lemon cymbals! Yeah, I used the 15" ones as a hi-hat for a while but they do move a bit too much. Maybe putting some kind of large washer might help, not sure.
@eDrumsInANutshell2 жыл бұрын
@@TheeDrumWorkshop yap, something like that. Or I will swap the felt to large washer and a rubber ring kind of thing.
@Lemon_Drums_USA2 жыл бұрын
How are you enjoying the snare pad?
@eDrumsInANutshell Жыл бұрын
@Become a Star Live oh, sorry, for the late reply. It's ok. I mean, basically, you get what you pay for. It's working well. It triggers really well. And with the eDrumIn module the positional sensing is working. I might not last forever, but for 45$ it doesn't have to. The important part the mounting system is quite ok.
@gordonjeffrey86162 жыл бұрын
I installed the fix cable, but my top hat is still triggering almost all head/bell hits. I opened it up and see nothing to swap. Plugged it in without a controller, issue persists. I am bewildered.
@TheeDrumWorkshop2 жыл бұрын
There is only bow (head) and edge (rim) on these pads, no bell. So just to check, do you mean only bow hits? If so, that's the opposite from what I had and it might not be the same problem. It could be a faulty edge switch that just isn't registering as closed. That would be my best guess anyway, going off limited information and without being able to see or test it. What module are you using it with?
@gordonjeffrey86162 жыл бұрын
@@TheeDrumWorkshop Yes, I meant the bow. TD-27, cheers.
@gordonjeffrey8616 Жыл бұрын
@@TheeDrumWorkshop Lemon sent me a replacement top hat, but the same thing is happening. I throw the VH-10 pad onto the HHC and everything is fine. The HHC top hat will only register edge strikes if they are at max velocity (whether plugged into the bottom or even another input like crash 1).

Lemon cymbals seem always so smudgy compared to roland on videos to me. Is this is real thing?
@eDrumsInANutshell2 жыл бұрын
The rubber is quite porous. But hey, dude. These hi hats are 129$ today - so... I use 5x 15" Lemon triple zone crashes (1 as a hihat pad) and 1x 18" ride. I love them. To clean these I use this Cyber Clean "slime". And I am fine. I got a video in my DropBox linked in my profile. I like dark black cymbals... so, I understand your concerns. :-)
@TheeDrumWorkshop2 жыл бұрын
The rubber is more matte than Roland's which means that stick marks show up a bit more readily, yeah. Giving it a go over with 303 can help that but ultimately the rubber is different. Significantly cheaper though, so I can personally give that a pass.
