How I INSTALLED Exterior Electrical and Lighting with MOTION DETECTION at Dad's House | 2019/34

Every Summer I travel to Massachusetts with my sons to visit my father and spend time at his house on the lake. And every year he has projects for me to do. Most of them seem to focus on electrical work. In the past I have rewired a bathroom, installed an exhaust fan, under cabinet lighting in the kitchen, and many other projects. This trip was no different.
The first project he had for me was a broken patio umbrella. Not a cheap one from Walmart. This one is pretty nice, wood construction. So with some Titebond III and DeWalt clamps I was able to repair that.
The next project was to repair/replace GFCI plug he has out by his lawn edge for holiday lights, car vacuuming, and electric lawn equipment. This was a challenge, old wires, corroded hardware, etc. The line source was disconnected, so this took a little additional troubleshooting.
The final project was to relocation and reinstall some spotlight fixtures on the roof eaves. One was a simple retirement, and a relocate of the fixture. The last one was the addition of a motion sensor light for security around the house, as well as lighting the driveway for those late night arrivals. Again, old wiring, corroded hardware were the challenge. I really missed not having my own tools.
Check it out, I learn a lot, my Dad was right there checking my work and offering suggestion (if he knows so much, why didn't he fix it himself?) and my Dad's house is a little nicer and safer now.
