i’ve always wanted to get into journaling but never have because it always felt so overwhelming. i always felt obligated to have all these cute supplies that i couldn’t afford, when in reality, all i need are my thoughts, some paper, and a pen. if i want to go out of my way to make it cute and aesthetic, then i can, but i shouldn’t feel like i have to for it to be considered journaling.

@@SHIVANGISINGHH I’m not too sure the exact thing she’s talking about because I haven’t watched the whole video but an other example of what they’re saying is that you shouldn’t use words like ‘no’ or ‘don’t’ because the universe will ignore those negative words which can mean the complete opposite thing to what you want happens I hope this makes sense:)

this is probably the best and most insightful journaling video ive watched here on youtube. i always get discouraged because I see a lot of journaling videos that seem to really focus on cutesy aesthetic elements, which there is nothing wrong with, but that doesn't work for me personally because i worry about the looks of the journal rather than the contents of it. you've given a really great balance by prioritizing the work and then decorating afterwards, and you were honest about not decorating all the time. please keep doing the work you're doing, and I really appreciate this video and what it's done for me.
