@victoriap.mccarthy22564 жыл бұрын
El trovador Mudo ummmm do you forget the concept of “brown” came from Europe, US declared independence from England, hence our language, and England had controlled so many countries and influenced so many places, and ummm you remember slave trade from history class? And tbh no one hates being referred to as “brown” people rlly don’t care people only care when you make a racist remark. And to try and point our whole country on it is a bit rude. And yes we like to say where our ancestors are fr I’m Irish, Mexican, Spanish, Native, and East European. We are proud of heritage. And Americans know Spaniards are not brown! And being honest with you we don’t call anyone “brown” if it’s a white family, being honest, people say it’s a white family, if it’s a Mexican family people say Mexican family, if it’s a Arab family people say Arab. The only time people use “brown” is referring to skin not the individual. And you say categories of skin only exists in US? Excuse how about African Countries where there is genocide based of their shade of brown. How about Asia, where light skin is favored, there are sooo many countries that favor light skin. To say the US is the only country is a lie.

I am learning Japanese and I can say that one of the things that is helping me the MOST is that I speak to my children in Japanese. Anything that I can say in Japanese, I will say to them. Of course they started out not knowing what I am saying and I would have to say it once in Japanese, and then once in English, but quite quickly they have learned many of the words and phrases I am saying. This has helped me the most because it means I am speaking Japanese DAILY. Every single day. And as I learn I am adding new words and phrases. I also speak Japanese to my husband sometimes, but not as often as my kids. I should do it more though...

I guess I'm years late to this video! But I wanted to say thank you for suggesting the apps that you did! I've been studying Japanese as a hobby with a tutor which is challenging but it's fun! For about a week and a half I've studied it but Mirai Japanese is the first source that's actually made sense when stringing a sentence together. I'm taking it slowly but again thank you miss!

Thanks so much for all the tips! I'm learning Japanese and I am pretty much done with learning the kana (the dakuten and the compound characters are still not 100% in my head but i'm getting there ahah). I have downloaded some of the apps you've suggested (some aren't available on samsung devices). I was feeling like I didn't know how to approach the actual learning of the languages but maybe I've found my answer now :)

Well you have to usually watch anime without subtitles. Studies show that if you're watching media in the language you want to learn with subtitles of your native language, you barely learn anything.
